Double B Lodge was a great find. I had my own very spacious (for 1 person) cabin that had everything I needed (and more). Although the cabin was next to an RV park, there was no noise and plenty of open space to right outside the front door. As you can see from the picture, there was parking right next to the cabin. Definitely a find. Some of the cabins are 'connected' and may be noisy but mine was a stand-alone, which I highly recommend. Furniture may be a little dated but it's comfortable and fits the place nicely.

A hit

It was my first time staying here and I plan on returning. I stayed in the Queen next time I want to try a bigger room. The room was clean which is number one important to me second it is quiet. And it is pet friendly which is awesome. The owner greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. I already sent my daughter pictures so next year we can all come here for the weekend. These are the web site pictures but it is exactly what the room looks like . I couldn’t take better pictures. My dogs are very comfortable here .

Pine top Diamond

It was a like a step back in time, and not a pleasant one. The cabins are not single structures but built like a motel, attached to each other, so noise traveled a lot between them. The beds were lumpy and the comforter was stained. Dishes were cracked (health hazard) . Bathroom was small. All the furniture was from an era decades ago. Even the clock radio reminded us of one we had in our youth. Worst of all, in today's era, the wifi was sporadic.  So in a town with lots of choices, I would suggest you choose someplace else until they fix this one up.

Needs Remodeling

This was our first time staying in Pinetop. We were excited to be staying in a cabin and thought we would have the structure to ourselves and we were a tad disappointed that our cabin shared a wall with another cabin. We stayed in Cabin 1 which is a lot more spacious than your average double queen bed standard hotel room. It had 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom, full kitchen, microwave, pots, pans and utensils provided but due to covid we brought our own disposable plates, utensils, and Clorox wipes to wipe down high touch areas. Each bedroom had a door where you could step onto the hotel property without having to go through the living room and out the front door. Very convenient if you have pets which was only $10 extra so that was nice. The cabin was clean however couch and furniture is a bit outdated. I was hoping it was adjacent to a trail but it wasn’t, there was an RV lot next door, however there are plenty of stores and nearby restaurants. Woodland Lake Park was only 6 mins away and had a lovely easy trail to walk through pine trees. 

As for covid standards ....the lady at check in wasn’t wearing a mask, when I asked if I could extend my checkout time she said the cabin was going to be rented right after me, that meant that they didn’t seal the rooms for two days like other hotels do but maybe it’s because they are not a chain and can’t afford to loose potential income that way. Most of the towels were clean however there was one that had a stain, decided not to make a fuss because the other towels were clean. On the plus side the rate was very reasonable for 2 bedrooms and again they are super dog friendly! 

Spacious basic cabin (#1)

This was my first stay here and I can say that it probably won't be my last. The cabin was really nice and clean and inviting. It made you feel like you were really deep in the woods even though you are right off of the main road. It has everything you will need to have a great stay in the Pinetop area. It is conveniently located to plenty of activities but also to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores which is nice. The owners were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. A fantastic 2 day get away that was really needed.

Comfortable & Cozy

The room was lovely; clean and roomy.  Kitchen stocked with cookware and dishes-also great!  Play area in front seemed ideal for family play. But...we were constantly having to look out for the mess left by guests’ dogs. It would be nice if people cleaned up after their dogs just as a courtesy. Since they didn’t, it should be a requirement by the hotel. You have pets, you clean up their poop in shared areas.

We stayed for two nights in cabin #10 which is a two bedroom one bath. Cabin had a great view but no porch unlike the other cabins. It’s furniture was tired and the two rooms were small. Enough room for a queen sized bed but only a nightstand on one side. Bed is pushed up against the wall. Full kitchen was nice and well equipped. We had family in cabin #1 and #16 both of which were more updated and had porches but less of a view. Last picture shows cabin #18 which has both a porch and a great view. Check in was friendly and helpful and coffee shop and Mexican food within walking distance was nice. 

Private cabins at a good price

This was our second stay and instead of being in the motel side we rented for just a little more a full adorable log cabin; #18 which we loved. It was a one bedroom with bathroom that has a full tub/shower, living room and kitchenette. The room has air-conditioning if needed. It was roomy enough for the two of us and fully stocked for all of our needs plenty of nice clean towels and nice bedding and a comfortable bed. The only problem I could see would be if you are tall the shower head was the perfect height for my 5' frame but my husband who is 5'8" had to raise the shower head as high as it would go to be able to wash his hair. Cabin 18 faces the meadow so it was serene sitting out on the large porch just looking out into the countryside. The Double B is close to all the best restaurants in the area so it is very convenient and its economical.

Lovely Log Cabin

At check in, the clerk laughed when I indicated that we had reserved a "mountain view" cabin (I had the confirmation in hand). We didn't think it was very funny when we saw that our cabin faced the busy highway. The back of our cabin featured a trailer park. There was no mountain - anywhere! We would have booked elsewhere had we known. The cabin itself was very nice, clean and well equipped, however the sofa and the bed mattress were very uncomfortable and should have been replaced a long while ago. There was no service after check in (enough coffee for one day, same towels, etc). and only a key drop for check out.

"Mountain View?"

We spent 2 night at the Double D and I can say the room was clean and the bed was descent. It is in a great part of town near all the restaurants that we love like Darby's and Charlie Clark's. The size of the room was small and the size of the bathroom was really small let alone trying to take a shower in there; I believe the shower was 2' x 2'. Towels were a little ratty but clean. They do have refrigerator and microwave along with a coffee pot with comp'd coffee but if you plan to eat in the room you need to bring your own utensils and the like because it is not equipped. But it is very reasonable and rustic. We normally rent a cabin when up in Pinetop but for a motel this wasn't bad.
