I made a reservation at this property through booking.com. I found it cheaper on Red Lion.com, so cancelled one reservation and rebooked again.  We had to change our plans by a couple of days, so I cancelled , or changed , about 10 reservations.  I kept paper and electronic records, so I would have a complete itinerary.  I never received an acknowledgment/confirmation from Red Lion so I had nothing to cancel, and ended up being charged the FULL amount for a stay that I didn’t receive!  After several calls and emails, Karr the general manager stood firm on charging us for a stay that we never received!  We are a couple in our seventies, and an extra $250 for our expensive vacation hurts our pocket book immensely!

Karr said that his property isn’t responsible for sending out confirmation!

Complaint for a stay that I didn’t receive!

The Hotel was clean and had a great breakfast that was included.  The only downside was the bed height and too soft.  I needed a step stool to be able to get into the bed, but there were none available during my stay.   The mattress was very soft which my poor broken body hated.  Not the Hotels fault at all.  I would stay again because the hotel staff were very nice and the location and views of the mountains and lake were outstanding.  We got to enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub during our stay.  
Great Family hotel.  They also need to understand disabilities better as too help their patrons more.  

Great Views, Awesome Locations

We usually go to this hotel during the summer and I love the hotel but this time left me with a bit of a sour taste. On the first night we went to open our sofa bed and there were crumbs on it, which showed they never checked it. We opened it and the sheets were dirty. I took off the dirty sheet and the mattress was stained (looked like urine that had been dried there for a while) and no mattress pad or cover on the sofa mattress. Called down to the desk and overnight person offered to get us new sheets and a pillow since we didn’t have one for the sofa bed. I went down, she apologized for the issues and said she would tell someone about it in the morning and that they would be in contact with me regarding a way for them to make it right. I went back to the room and when I opened the bed-in-a-bag the pillows inside had no pillowcase. Just drool stained pillow zippered protectors that had clearly not been changed. I work in hospitality and those usually get put on in between the pillow and the pillowcase. I called the front desk and let them know those pillows were unusable and why and she offered eres to give me new ones but I told her I had just left the stuff outside of our room and that I would just give our daughter a pillow from our bed instead. The next morning I received a call and the person who called kind of had an attitude and informed me that they were told that I wanted to speak with her. I told her that I never asked to speak to anyone, that I had had issues with cleanliness and had already informed the front desk and I explained what those issues were. She didn’t really empathize or apologize. She just responded that she would let housekeeping know. As someone who is in the industry I felt the response was very lacking and it just seemed like me explaining what was wrong was more of an annoyance…there wasn’t even any shock which leads me to believe this is a common occurrence. I’m disappointed because I normally love this hotel I would like to continue to stay there but am wary based off that response. There was no offer to make it right in any way. 
The breakfast staff is delightful! They smile and talk to you when they see you and really make you feel welcome.

Customer Service and Cleanliness Lacking

The rooms are nice and clean with  comfortable beds and pillows. The staff is friendly and helpful. We also really like that there is a restaurant attached to the hotel so we do not have to leave the hotel.

everything was great. enjoyed our stay and will be back. we were in town home shopping and red lion gave us a great place to relax and catch up. view from our room of the mountains and lake was perfect. will be back

The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had!  I did not have an opportunity to use the pool, but will next time I am here.  I will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel

Had a great stay here Halloween weekend.  
We checked in with no issues and we had a very clean and neat room on the second floor.  The beds were very comfy, however very high.   My 9 year old son had to push the ottoman over to get on the bed safely and even I had to get a running start to jump up there.  This could be very difficult for some people.  
Due to Covid they are not cleaning during your stay, which is fine.  We ran downstairs and got extra towels as needed. 
Breakfast was the same every morning, but quite delicious so we didn’t mind.  There was a little something for everyone and a good selection of juices, milk, tea, hot chocolate, and very tasty coffee.   
We used the pool, hot tub, and gym during our stay and were very happy with all.  The gym is stocked with cold bottled water, which is a very thoughtful touch.  
Overall we would stay here again in a heartbeat.  The price we paid was more than fair for our stay.   

Great little hotel in the most beautiful location.

Cons:  paid for a 'view' room since near lake, and we checked in late afternoon.  Assigned first floor room, which looks at parking lot.  Asked for a different room - was told all were booked although the parking lot was empty.  Second issue:  inadequate or unhelpful staff when we first checked in - no internet reception earlier in day, so we called to book for that evening.  Phone rang repeatly, no answer.  Drove to facility earlier than desired to try for a room - front desk had one person, their attitude was surly at best.  NOTE:  service improved by later that evening.  Pros:  clean, bright, comfortable bed although folks less than 5'10" will benefit from a stool to climb into the bed, good breakfast.  Price is high but standard for area.

Beware - 'View' may be of parking lot

Enjoyed staying at this hotel.. quiet, comfy beds, great location to downtown and views of the lake. Great customer service. Has a lovely patio to see the sunsets and indoor pool, exercise room. Lots of parking..

Quiet and comfortable!

The check in was good, but they only cleaned the rooms every 3 days??
The room had the same furniture in it from the day it was built in 2005, The bed was soft, but very high.
We found the cleaning staff to be not friendly at all. 
They would stack their carts on the first floor by the elevator on the way to the pool, this made the access to the pool very tight to walk to.
It is time for them to upgrade their food selections!
They charge you a different price it seemed like every day, maybe that is why the hotel was not full.
