It’s in the middle of town, an older, rather run down motel. They still used old fashioned keys. The room had rusty, crank windows which did not work so if you wanted to open them you had to manually push them open then close them from the outside. There were no screens. The bathroom window was crudded up with lots of dead bugs. There was a tiny fridge and microwave, a desk with chair and lamp, a dresser with the tv on top. The vanity in the bathroom was very low and only attached to the wall on two sides with no other support so if you leaned on it at all it would come loose from the wall and there was evidence that that had happened in the past. They had a pool but it was closed.

Old, run down

The hotel is a bit run down, in need of an urgent renovation, but I had an ok stay, even though the room was not very clean, as the bed was comfy, there was a fridge and a microwave in the room. I was badly  surprised to have a guy knocking at our door offering marijuana!!! Guess drug dealing is accepted by the hotel... Disgusting!!!

Run down but ok

I had everything I needed. Refrigerator, great shower, comfortable bed, quiet night and a real drip coffee maker. And, of course, WiFi and a TV with wide selection of channels. Everything was thoughtfully done, and in good working order. The price was great.

Best deal in Northern California

We stayed one night and were quite pleased with the value.  No frills, but the appliances and the ventilation system worked fine.  The lady that checked us in was friendly and efficient.  There weren't a lot of outlets, but we got along fine.  It was cleaner than we expected for a budget motel.  Parking was convenient and the noise level was great.  Comfortable bed!  No working ice maker but we survived. The bed was quite comfortable.

Great budget motel - no frills but good value

The lobby is temporarily closed and keys are provided through the night window, which I appreciated for COVID safety. Front desk was very friendly. There is also a no contact checkout policy used. The motel room definitely had signs of wear on the furniture, plus there were some small rips in the comforter and little marks on the bedding, and a stain on the floor. I didn't see anything majorly concerning - seems like the rooms are still well kept, just old. Hotel has iniated some eco-friendly practices, which I respected. My main concern was safety, and it seemed safe which is what mattered most to me! It worked out great for a one- night stop. Only thing that really bothered me was someone in another room slammed their door late at night and then was banging on a wall or door in the morning which reverberated to my room. I didn't complain to the management about it, however, so I do not blame them at all for this. Overall, had a decent stay.

Worn-Down, but Safe Stay

Good for short stays and budget.  Rooms are basic, out dated and a little run down. I stay here frequently as the rates are reasonable, convenient location, TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot in room.  Being a solo traveler, I feel safe.  Friendly and helpful front desk staff.  The small pool and pool area is not inviting.  As long as rated stay low, I will continue to stay there.  

Not a Resort but good for short stays

The location was great, about a mile from I5, good for those driving through. A number of eateries around.
Hassle free check in and spacious, clean rooms with all necessary facilities: coffee maker, ironing board, enough towels and hangers for two. Rooms were a bit dated though, and there is no assigned parking. Value for money.
Also, there are bushes all around, and are not trimmed, so that sometimes you have to heavily lean/ brush against the bushes to get into your room. There are also loquite some bugs during the evening.

Good for a night's stopover

Walked in exhausted from day of traveling with my family. Greeted with what I took as hostility, and abruptly told we could not stay there because they didn’t have any pet friendly rooms left AFTER we booked specifying we needed a pet friendly room. Currently on hold with Orbitz for over 15 minutes trying to cancel reservation.

Horrible

This is a dated but spotlessly clean motel. The rooms were small but had a new flat-screen TV and plenty of hot water. Located downtown, it was just fine for the evening. The staff evening and morning were very helpful.

Mid century motel

As always, we're on the road. The Vagabund Inn is perfect. Clean and affordable. If you don't need luxury, you're right here.
