We met family in Ririe at the 7N Ranch for a reunion and stayed in the old ranger's home. It was a disappointment in that there needs to be upgrades and it did not feel like it had been really cleaned in a long time. Knobs missing from closets, broken drawers, burners not working, bbq was having some issues. It had a nice deck, but only had 2 well worn broken plastic chairs and a small table. In that there were 5 of us it left some of us standing. 
When I asked for more dish rags and towels (only 1 was provided for our 5 day stay) I was literally given torn towel rags the color of soot. They said they would bring the right towels, but never did. Everyone was nice enough and the campground seemed well kept, it just felt that this house was really the neglected piece of the property. We loved the area, was really pretty, and we tried to overlook the fact the house we were in was not what we expected. Our next stop in Montana was a welcome sight and big relief knowing that I would spend the next few nights in a well maintained and clean unit. 
This could be a sweet little house, with a little elbow grease and updating.

Beautifully restored RED BARN or unique Pavillion venue for parties, weddings, as well as small quaint patio with cook top for small gatherings.

We also enjoyed a fantastic 4th of July with free music, fireworks and a fun filled day.

Can't say enough great things about this mom and pop resort.  

The Newby's encourage you to build a fire to cozy up after dark but keep your led and outside lights off so you really experience the beautiful dark skies and stars!

We encourage you to make your reservations early, as Newby's 7N Ranch is often 100% full.

Amazing, a Great summer Get-a-way!

The venue for our friend's wedding was lovely - the red log barn was beautifully restored and gave a great covered space for the caterer, dancing, cake, DJ, etc.  View was wonderful for the wedding guests, as we looked beyond the setting to the fields, hills and mountains beyond. We arranged to spend the night in a cabin, as we had a 6 hour drive to home.  We found the check in area could use better signage off the main road perhaps, but all were friendly, helpful and low-key.  We had cabin #8, end of the road, and it was quite, tidy and served our needs well.  The wall a/c unit did not work, but they had a tower unit in the living area that worked well, and we were able to make the cabin quite comfy temp by bed time.  We didn't have the time to use the miniature golf course, or the main golf course, but wish we had allotted more time to do so!

We came for a dear friend's wedding, and spent that night in one of the cabins...



My husband and I stayed at 7N Ranch (RV) Resort for three nights. This is a working farm and an RV park.  We were in the Red Barn Campground, which has lush spacious grass sites. We had a glorious view across a crop field, perhaps barley. In the distance we saw the 7N Ranch RV park office, and some RVs parked near the office.

People staying in the pull-through sites in the Red Barn Campground tended to be families with kids. The kids  had fun playing on the spacious grassy lawns.  We saw the families on weekend nights, but not mid-week. 

Some back-in sites in the same Red Barn campground border a small creek. There is a lot of vegetation along the creek. Some long-term residents live there, but at least one weekender showed up. 

The Red Barn campground has a bathroom building. The ladies room has 2 toilets, 2 showers and about 2 sinks. The doors are made out of plywood. The showers cost 50 cents. I did not use the showers because I was not sure whether the bathroom was heated; it was cold  when we visited. People into interior decorating would want a more updated bathroom. 

At Red Barn  Campground there are scattered fire rings and picnic tables. Not every site has one. 

The renovated Red Barn can be rented out for events such as weddings. We saw two such small gatherings while we visited. One was a wedding, the other a company party. We heard no noise from them.

Between the Red Barn and the 7N Ranch office is a huge mowed grass field that might be a golf driving range. 

Nearby is a grass runway for planes. We saw a plane land there.

There is an additional small campground in front of the 7N Ranch office. The surface is gravel. It also serves as an overflow parking lot. Those back-in sites border the huge barley field. They probably have a view of the huge crop field and the nearby mountains. We saw only two RVs parked there. To me they seemed too close to the activity of the office. 

Behind the 7N Ranch office and miniature golf course are clustered more RVs.  This area is wooded with big Cottonwood trees. The RV park manager Tennessee said that people rent these spots for the summer season so that they can be within walking distance of the Heise golf course next door. I do not think these sites can see much of the barley field or the mountains. I liked our site with its wide vista a lot better. 

Some additional seasonal sites are away from the office, somewhat near the creek and barley field. They look peaceful with a good vista. 

I do not think there is any WIFI.  There is good Verizon cellular reception (3 of 5 bars for me). 

There is a public seating area with tables and chairs a room to the side of the office. This area has big glass windows. The office sells about 10 flavors of ice cream. 

The 7N Ranch RV Park is not near any busy roads or highways, so you do not get traffic noise. Instead you can listen to the birds. 

We saw a lot of birds in the tall trees near our campsite. We had open space around our site.

We really like the vista and the idyllic ambiance of the Red Barn Campground. That is the primary reason for my rating of 5. 

It takes about 10-15 minutes to get from the small highway Highway 26 to 7N Ranch.  It is worth the time to get someplace this nice.

The campground is in the boondocks, not within the small town of Ririe.  When we needed groceries we went to the huge Fred Meyer (Kroger) in Idaho Falls. 

Nearby 7N Ranch there are some places to eat. We really enjoyed Parrots Concession across the street from the Red Barn. It has very limited hours, but our breakfasts were wonderful. It also serves hamburgers. There is a pizza parlor nearby at Heise campground.

The one Heise Resort RV campground I saw while driving by was right next to the road in a small cramped area at the base of a hill; these sites were  very small with no vista. Perhaps the Heise Resort has other campgrounds. The Red Barn Campground at 7N Ranch is much nicer. 

In the general area there are various activities: mountain biking, golf, miniature golf, zip lining, a pool at the Heise neighboring resort that the public can pay to use.  In the winter you can ski at the Kelly Canyon Ski Resort.

Multiple campgrounds at 7N Ranch Resort; their Red  Barn Campground has great vistas 

This is a nice little RV campground near the Red Barn on the Snake River. The sites are very large and have all of the hookups needed. The daily rate is very reasonable and the atmosphere is great. There are no direct activities at the Red Barn annex, you must go to main area for cookouts, golf driving range and the real nice mini-golf setup. The campground host was very helpful and guides each arrival to their assigned sites. Overall, a very nice situation.

Great early fall setting

Hosts were so friendly and accommodating.  It was our aniversary and we stayed a site by the big red barn and loved it. It is well maintained campground that has all hook ups, lots of shade and new picnic tables.  Hosts were happy to provide wood and even had 9 volts on hand for our CO sensor. 
The bike park is right across the street and it well worth it! There is lots of jumps and features for extreme downhillers, the straw bales make for soft landings.  The "Coyote Ugly" Trail is nice for a trail ride, and there is a picnic table at top for lunch. 
Also their mini golf course is one of the nicest i've been too. It has a true Idaho feel because of all the Idaho farm equipment, and crick that runs through to water wheel is beautiful.  We will be returning in the winter for their tubing and cross country skiing.

Awesome Getaway - Idaho Style!

Reserved a room but on check in .. Saw the room and became depressed. We cancelled and went elsewhere. small windows-tiny room-in a beautiful setting. Not to mention a room rate of $139.00 per night. No thanks. Should have borrowed a tent and just camped.
