We loved Ninepipes! The lodge is much more updated than most of the photos show. Everything was very clean and the people were friendly. If you can, book a room on the lake side of the hotel. The rooms are bigger and have an amazing view! The sunset rooms have a little bit of road noise but are still wonderful. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant does a great job for lunch and dinner. We wish the bar had served a little later but that’s ok!

Great place to stay!

My third time staying here. Wonderful family run lodge with a great restaurant and breakfast.  I look forward to staying here again. The Mission Valley area is a great location.  Lots to see plus close enough to Glacier National Park for a day trip

A dream. Location, breakfast, room, dinner …everything is good. Very clean. Sunset and sunrise are wow!!! I love this place. Here, you can be in peace , you can breath, look the gorgeous nature and relax. Nature is incredible. Choose this lodge !!!

A dream

I had higher hopes for this hotel.. but in reality it was the only thing available for miles around and we were visiting for a wedding so didn’t have much choice. The check in was confusing. I especially hated that they texted my phone the day prior to check in asking me for photos of my ID, CC # etc… it was unprofessional and felt like scam. When we arrived the young man checking us in was quite young and seemed confused when I was asking him about what my card had been charged etc. He didn’t understand that I had pre paid for my room… I wanted to know how much of a security deposit I had put down and he couldn’t answer that question… I will have to deal with that when I’m home and at my bank I’m sure. Then the room was ok. But I had a giant plant infront of our window and couldn’t see outside.. and even if I had there were vehicles backed up against all of the windows.. so “sunset view” is a stretch. The coffee was empty in the room and they claimed to charge for more coffee if needed. I was woken up at about 6am (after being at a wedding until late) by hotel workers talking loudly in the hallway.. then by crying children in the hallways… the Buffett was ok. The duvet was textured and felt gross and scratchy and like it would be hard to properly clean between guests. I doubt we will ever find ourselves in this neck of the woods again but if we do we will drive a little further to a different hotel. Especially for the price.

If you’re looking for a good nights sleep stay elsewhere

The Mountain View rooms have an amaaazing view, it was breathtaking to wake up to the views of the mountains. The rooms are a bit dated but that was obvious in the pictures. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the views make up for everything 😊! The staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant was really busy and a bit too loud, so as a tip try and book a room away from the restaurant and certainly the Mountain View rooms. Breakfast was ok. The ninepipes national wildlife refuge just outside is peaceful and you can see many different birds there. A great off-beat location. The museum store right next to the lodge is really nice. This review is specifically for the Mountain View room.

Breathtaking Mountain View’s!

Flew into Bozeman and was heading to Whitefish, but wanted to stay overnight between. This place was perfect. We choose the mountain view room, its the best side. You overlook a small lake and had a great view along with a patio set to see sunset. The restaurant was great, food choices from steaks to sandwiches. We went to the bar after dinner for a few drinks and they had all the sports on the various TVs. The room came with breakfast and it was a nice selection buffet. The entire staff was great. The room was large. The only negative was I think the bedding (sheets) need to be updated.

Great midway hotel

We had an OK stay here staff friendly but the rooms on the carpark highway side were very noisy throughout the night with trucks going past, but the most annoying was the plumbing, the showers in the rooms are power showers but if you are in bed at night and another room uses the shower it sounds like a jet taking off which woke us up. The views from the dining room at breakfast were very nice, the coffee in the room was very nice. We would only stay in the pond side rooms if we ever came back but an extra $40 for the pleasure is a bit steep.

Noisy

Everything about the Lodge was excellent-the room was large with a patio overlooking the Mission Mountain Range. The on-site restaurant had an extensive menu and the food was delicious. The staff were very service oriented. Highly recommend!

Excellent in all ways!

Before you read this, we have given the owner 8 days to reply and he hasn't.  We are not picky people, so for this experience to be so horrible is quite shocking.  We sent him an email early on a Saturday morning-it is now late Sunday night the FOLLOWING week.  We spoke with two front desk ladies who expressed some care to our concern (one more than the other) but let us know (without saying) that the previous comments on here are accurate-the owner won't really care.  Never heard back from the owner or the manager, but the employees said they would "mention it" to them.

We want you to be warned before you get swept up in the pretty pictures and waste a TON of money.  (The online advertised price on sites like Booking.com is even lower than our "special wedding block price".)

The pond out back is GORGEOUS, but when people are smoking on the patio and you have a road right behind the building it kind of takes away from the moment.  If you want, just stop at their coffee/gift shop-take a look at the pond...then keep driving!

Recommend supporting local Airbnb hosts instead :)

"Here we are awake since 5am this morning.  Your reviews on TripAdvisor are pretty good.  We will be leaving one as well with the following:

The only positives so far are: the check-in lady was friendly, the view, the shower (large with the oversized/curved shower curtain rod).

Our stay has been rough, especially this morning.  We are extremely frustrated and wondering if you have any partnerships or can use our payment to have us stay somewhere more quiet?

Last night the bar was loud after midnight.  Nobody quieting things down.  We understand the wedding parties but you would think there would be a limit at some point?

This morning, Saturday, we were startled awake @ 5am by someone (staff for breakfast?) scooping 10-12 buckets of ice loudly then dumping into something.  

Then a short time later (before 6am) there is a man with a backpack vacuum!  We see the North wing has a door to perhaps block some lobby noise.  South wing does NOT have a door.  Writing this at 6:15am and the vacuum has started again!!  Also, some staff conversation could be heard.  Yes, they just arrived for their shift and ready for the day.  But they weren't up until 1am listening to the lobby/bar noise.

(THEN, after this email was sent-they turned on the lobby music before 7am-it wasn't quiet!)

My husband can sleep anytime, anywhere, and it is loud enough to startle him awake AND keep him awake.  That’s something to be noted.

Our room is super wet and musty.   Front desk lady said “some rooms are just like that due to the AC”.  Makes you have heavy chest and headache.

4 hours of sleep isn’t enough to survive.  Especially at the high rate charged.  (Can't imagine being on the road side of the motel and adding THAT noise).

~Room 16 (RIGHT next to the front desk, on the "Mountain View" side which is mostly a view of the side of the building-see picture below.)

-The floor in the building hallway is super hollow, so EVERY single person walking by (large, small, soft steps or stomping/running) is loud.  Especially being the FIRST room off the lobby, every guest past us had to walk by-no choice LOL!

The breakfast was the same both days: juice, some sort of sausage link, bacon, REAL eggs (impressive but cooked dried/brown), mixed fruit bowl, and salty/squishy potato pieces.  The view from the dining room over the pond is nice, but the sun does blind you.  The windows have lots of little hand prints/smudging.  Perhaps instead of vacuuming at 5:30am, someone could wipe the bottom 2 feet of the windows next to the tables?!

Didn't help matters when a storm passed through Friday night and we were without power for over 3 hours.  Not anyone's fault.  We learned they don't have a back-up generator for anything.  Then when it did come back on, everyone was apparently showering and the boiler couldn't keep up.  So it went from warm to ICE cold, back/forth.

An experience from someone else in our group-their flight was actually on a Monday out of Missoula and they wanted to check-out Sunday to go there.  With over 48 hours notice, they would not adjust their reservation.  It is August, high tourism season-they could have most definitely rented that room out for Sunday night.  This isn't great customer service.

Waste of money, loud, musty, disappointing

We stayed overnight during a road trip to Glacier-National-Park. Beautiful property, clean room, wonderful breakfast buffet. All in all, a great place to stay. Unfortunately we didn’t get to visit the gift shop. Maybe next time. We would definitely recommend Ninepipes  Lodge.
