We had a reservation booked in Feb. We arrived @ 5 p.m. & the owner stated that there were no rooms.  I had a reservation she didn't care & was rude & very nasty.  DON'T STAY AT THIS FILTHY PLACE EVER..

Rude & Nasty Hotel Owner

We were supposed to stay a night over Columbus weekend. I had reserved a night due to doing a wedding in another town. We arrived to find out they had given the room away. Now I will be honest that the business credit card I used was declined. They could have notified me & I could have used another card. They claimed to have called numerous times, but there were NO calls indicated on my phone. This room was supposed to be paid upon arrival. Obviously it was not. If they had waited till I got there, this could have been avoided, but considering the poor reviews, I'm glad we never stayed!

Gave my room away

Stayed there on a Friday night and booked on line as we had an event in the area on Saturday.  The pictures make it look decent but the kind of people that frequent this place leave much to be desired.  There was a guy who appeared out of his mind high having a dance party with himself in the parking lot outside our room.  A bunch of sketchy characters milling around outside with music on all outside a room where people seemed to keep coming and going.  A woman came out of this room waving a machete (can't make this up) which seemed to amuse the crowd in front of the room.  Saw big wads of cash being passed around.  I was really scared and left before we had slept there without even asking for a refund, just wanted to get away as quickly as possible.

Terrifying

The owner is taciturn and not at all informative - unless you take the initiative.

It was clear that the continental breakfast would be in the tiny office, with a few chairs but no tables to sit at - in other words just as sad as the rest of this dump, so I didn't even consider it.

I don't think any of the mattresses have been replaced since this owner bought the place, so I suspect they're about 20 years old and they feel like it.  I asked the owner's wife if any of the units had better mattresses and she said, "No - they're all the same".  With every place on it sagging down or poking up at you, there's no comfortable place to lay.

"Heat" is from the in-room AC unit.  I had it on full blast all night and I don't think it even got to 70.  This was mid-October, so can't begin to imagine how miserable it is in the winter.  The windows facing the courtyard have been updated, but the ones in the back are still the original wood ones and I could feel the cold air coming in - the heat unit never had a chance.

What seemed really strange to me was that the room had new carpeting and there was new floor tile in the bathroom - reminds me of the expression "you can't polish a turd".

Stay away!

When we first walked in, the room was REALLY hot, and there was a small metal heater in the middle of the room blasting. The floors were sticky and covered in strange spots and marks. I went to open the window, but cut my hand. It was originally a 2 pane window, but one of them had broken, so there was glass covering the rim. There were moths and stink bugs inside of the room too. The beds had brown stains on them, and smelled strange. The bathroom was scary. There was poor lighting, and it smelled terrible. The toilet had nasty stains on it, and so did the shower. Later on, we found a kissing bug (a bug that bites you in the night, and can cause death, we looked it up) and it was definitely one too. We informed the owners about all of these things, but they either said it wasn't their fault, or they didn't know about it. There were many more things, but overall, this hotel is terrible. NEVER go there.
