Sackets Harbor

Recently stayed one night in Marina Inn & Suites. Property is located right on Black Harbor Bay on Lake Ontario. 

We had a King Suite with a harbor view. The suite was large but the furnishings were old and worn out. The bed and pillows were comfortable. 6 bed pillows as requested were provided. A full kitchenette was useful for eating breakfast in our room. 

It appeared we were one of two sets of guests staying at the location so it was very quiet but a bit spooky as no staff were on site. Unfortunately the advertised self-service washer/dryer were not available. 

We recommend The Whiskey Coop restaurant for dinner if you stay in the area.

Funky Old Inn

We love the town of Sackets Bay. The property the hotel sits on is a old battle site. Great views of Lake Ontario. The only complaint is that the window sills were so filthy and filled with bugs that you could not open the window in the room. Bug spray and wiping them down would make a difference. There was also a nasty stain on the couch and the vent over the tub looks like it was cleaned in years.

Nice area

This is a gem of an inn located on Lake Ontario.  Full of history, beautiful views and plenty of space.  The staff are friendly and very helpful.  Access to the YMCA is a nice perk.  Easy walk to restaurants and shops and short drive to hiking trails and other sites.  We very much enjoyed our stay!

Recommend this Historic Inn with Beautiful Views

The property that this hotel sits on is just like a park. It is within walking distance of the village shops and restaurants. There is a trail in the village that goes around the battlefield and school. Sackets Harbor is a short drive from  Alexandria Bay and Old Forge. It definitely makes for a nice in between location! Rooms are nicely decorated with an antique feel.  Beds are very comfy.

Very clean, elegant, large suites and beautiful rooms and breath taking view of the Harbour.
Definitely a must stay and visit.
A must visit to Sackets Harbour and the Watertown area also Syracus area and the great warehouse price shopping.

Marina Inn Suites

There was black mold around the windows.  Difficult to find.  Iron was dirty.  Had to haul luggage up stairs.  Nice parking.  Restaurant out back closed on weekends.  A little tricky to find food or services in town and no vending in hotel.  Wish I had not stayed here.  Not worth the money or the drive.

I will be honest, I had know idea when I booked a room here what the lodging would ultimately be like. It is located on Lake Ontario and about a mile from the village of Sackets Harbor. We had to call to contact someone to meet us at the Inn, and when they arrived the check in was fast and easy and because of a higher than usual vacancy being just after Labor Day we were given a free upgrade to a large suite facing the lake. The room was clean and spacious. There are no additional amenities like breakfast or coffee in the lobby but the booking rates are comparatively inexpensive for a hotel of this type. There are a couple of cafes/breakfast places in the village that are very nice. One drawback of the old barracks, there is no elevator so the bags and luggage must be carried up stairs. There is also no one available during the night inside the Inn. The Inn as I said is on the lake and we were fortunate to see a sunset and later in the evening a thunder and lightning storm over the lake, beautiful. I would highly recommend the Marina Inn to anyone heading to the North Country in New York.

Waterfront Property on Ontario

At first we wanted downtown Sackett's but this was sooo much better. THe waterfront view was great the place was very clean- in fact I think it was brand new. and the price was extremely fair. I will always stay here when we go to Sackett's Harbor

Highly recommend staying here

What a nice place! My husband and I stayed for the weekend the view was amazing, the property and room was emaculate! We would definantely recommend this place and we will be coming back! My only suggestion would be they should put some chairs in the back lawn so you can sit by the water.

"Lovely place"

I stayed here off season so my experience might be a bit different than others.  Other than myself, there was only one other room rented so the place was very quiet.   I had a kitchenette suite on ground level with a king size bed....I could walk out of my room directly to the adjacent restaurant ( closed off season) and docks.)  It being a brick bldg..no cell service from the ground level floor...I had to leave the room to make a phone call.  The kitchenette was nicely provisioned.  I did enjoy my stay here and would stay again.  Upside: beautiful area/comfy room..downside: at night if you need anything you are on your own...the front desk is not staffed 24/7 off season.
