Hotel just refurbished. A great deal for a very nice hotel. Reception staff very nice and most helpful. What a find! Highly recommend this current lovely but modest hotel. Would rate it 8+ at least. Significantly  better than other hotels I stayed at this trip for the same funds.

Just refurbished

The exterior cleanliness was horrible. There is no common area to meet with other guests. Furniture stacked in front lobby. 1st floor rooms have been renovated 2nd floor are not! Kids running in halls during the night.

Exterior Needs TLC

I needed a place to stay over for the night get a good rest and a shower.  This place met all the needs including I could smoke in the room.  Nice free breakfast.  Would stay here again. See you next year.

Just what I wanted

Motel is run down and in need of upgrade. They should monitor who is entering. If you are looking for a inexpensive place to just crash this will work. Its probably not the best hotel to use if you have kids along.

Need Improvement

The hotel was okay- the room was clean but there were no comforters, just two thin sheets on the beds. The pool is not working and we were not informed in advance. The breakfast was meh- stale bagels and dried out eggs- utensils weren't stocked so I looked in the cabinets and refilled the containers myself.

It was fine.

I wish I could give the hotel 5 stars but that would be lying. I stayed in a nonsmoking room that was full of smoke from other people who were smoking on the floor. I am an asthmatic and I ended up having a bad asthma attack. We had to put a towel on the floor in front of the door to block out as much smoke as possible. 

If that wasn't bad enough, there were people arguing in the hall well after midnight. Doors were slamming and people were screaming. Kids were running around in the hallway as well. Where are their parents? Nowhere apparently. They let their kids disturb other guests after midnight.

The hotel staff didn't do a thing about the situation. Frankly, I'm amazed that the room we stayed in was in such good shape with people that don't respect rules or others roaming around.

The breakfast is nothing fancy but will do the trick. The scrambled eggs are bland and taste like reinforced cardboard. The breakfast sausage was rubbery. There are some bagels, Rice Krispies and Frosted Flakes, and yogurt. You can also make waffles which are fine.

I would have given the hotel at least 4 stars but their lack of enforcing rules ruined it for them. They shouldn't allow people to smoke in the halls or let kids run around after hours.

Disappointing

It was dirty, inside and out, the dryer didn’t work properly, and it was used for section 8 and domestic violence victims. Anything that you could imagine that comes with those two class of people is exactly what this hotel was like. The staff was very nice and accommodating, but there’s only so much they can do to control the clientele. Cops were there more than a few times.

I’d rather live in my car

I’m only giving this review two stars and not one because I got a discount the day of (Saturday July 11th). But when I got upstairs I would have demanded a discount. The ELEVATOR reeked of cigarettes. And the hallways smelled like a strip club im China town. You could have sworn it was the 60s with how lax the place is with its smoking policy. 

News flash not the 60s and I’m sure management is well aware of the issue but the money flows, so what’s the problem right. 

Bathroom was clean, and all was in place. 

Discounts 

We chose the non-smoking room and were assigned room 124. It smelled of smoke, lacked a toilet seat cover, had dead bugs in the room, lacked a fire alarm cover and smelled of cigarettes, and weed. The management was nice and switched us, but the smell was still there. The jacuzzi tub did not turn on. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They just need to fix the first floor hallway, it smells of smoke to the point that the smell is still lingering in my nose.

The smelliest hotel I have stayed in.

All-in-all a good stay. Key system should be improved, and minor fixes should be addressed. It's November, but a pool would be nice to have available. Breackfast should be expanded for the guests with a breakfast meat choice.
