Prices at some other hotels were very high so I decided to give this  [new?] place a try.  I was happy overall.  It is an old-style motor-court motel.  the room was clean and well equipped.  Comfortable bed.  There was one downside, the breakfast was minimal and it was not ready when I showed up in the morning, but that might have been my fault for getting the hour wrong?

Decent value

We found a dead cockroach in the first room and some sort of bugs crawling on the headboard on one of the queen size beds. I went to the front office and told the front desk clerk (a young girl) that the room was unacceptable due to the mentioned issues and asked for another room. The front desk clerk nonchalantly gave me another key as if this sort of thing happens all the time. Upon checking the other room, no bugs but a strange odor. We decided not to stay and asked for a refund. I am still dealing with the Baymont motel and the third party Priceline who I booked it with in trying to obtain at least a partial refund.
I do not recommend anyone staying at this motel. There is a fresh coat of paint and new laminate flooring in the rooms, but other than that it is still an old run down motel. This  establishment definitely is not to  Wyndham  chain standards.

Bugs and it stinks (literally)!

Room was very clean and equipped with nice TV, refrigerator and microwave.

Will be staying here on all future trips through the area.

It was the best motel experience we've had in a very long time. 


Perfect

Ok, but not great.  Front desk check in was easy and informative, check out was as well.  Room was mostly clean, but bathroom needs repair, calking had been falling out, mildew, the AC worked well but was loud, and the internet is not good as it continuously dropped out.  The pool looked very nice but didn't use.  Breakfast was minimally stocked and the coffee was cold and not refreshed.  That said it was a place to stay. 



Ok, not great!

A good solid Inn to stay at, if travelling through and in need of a rest.  We did not eat breakfast there so can’t comment.  Very clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet.  Good value.  Not much to do around there.

An OK place to stay

Traveling through the area, we spent one night at Red Roof Inn, Socorro - check-in was easy & pleasant, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower worked just fine, and it was quiet overnight.  I would stay again if ever traveling through, I recommend the place.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

Truth in advertising - the marquis claims: Great rooms, Best price, Best service. Not only lived up to these claims but surpassed it. 65 mph winds prompted us to get off the road (we were on motorcycles). They let us check into one room at 11:00 AM, and the other around 12:30. I believe it was the hotel owner/manager that we met first. He was genuinely seeking alternatives and solutions for us. Customer service that is unequaled most everywhere else these days.
On top of that, the rooms WERE great.  Large and comfortable with all the amenities. Very clean too. 
I'm impressed.

Best customer service!

We felt so welcome at this Red Roof Inn. The Friendlly lady at the front seemed to be the manager and was telling us how the Motel was being upgraded as required by Red Roof. The breakfast was great. Fridge and microwave in the room. Great price. 

Great place to stay

I have read some of the reviews and wonder if we stayed at the same place.  We had a room with two beds.  A little cozy; however, clean with an updated appearance.  Love the fact they have laminated floors versus carpeting.  Wish more hotels did this.  As a healthcare provider, I cringe at the thought of carpet in rooms.  The room was clean and obviously updated.  Got ice from the laundry and ice room.  Clean and updated also. We love the ability to drive up to our room, unload in less than 15-mins without a luggage cart.  Not sure we will be back through the area again; however, would stay here again.  Never had stayed at a Red Roof Inn.  Need to reconsider that.
