Worst hotel ever. Worst staff ever. Do not stay here!!! The only thing the owner  area about is getting your money. Once that occurs there is zero customer service. 
Trust me when I say you are better off sleeping in your car than staying here!!!

Worst experience ever

Stayed here previously and had an excellent stay. This time we had a half renovated room, the water in the shower was luke warm the whole time. We complained to the front desk, who really did not seem to care. Stated he would “let management know”…. We frequent Portland area and will be looking for another hotel for my next stay. Very disappointed.

Cold showers and half renovated rooms

My partner and I shared a room at this hotel last night. The mattress was nice although it was constantly moving. The shower does not have anywhere to put toiletries and it is a sliding door shower so you cannot balance it on the side. There were flickering lights down the hallway and lobby. Not a lot of selections for the breakfast, mostly high calorie carbs. The staff at the front desk aren’t too friendly either. The furnace in the room is also very loud, despite the room. There is no amenities besides the breakfast (no pool or gym) the only reason I am giving this more than a one star review is because of how close this was to the Maine Mall.

Must be nice for the location …. Right?

I'd either see excellent reviews, or reviews that scared me half to death to get near the property.  My son and I booked a room, and kept our fingers crossed.  We were very happy with our decision to stay there.   Grounds were clean, I felt safe, well lit outside at night.  Lobby, elevator and hallways clean.  Our room was very clean, bed was comfortable, linens/pillows perfect.  Everything was first rate.  Usually I will stay at a Hampton Inn when I travel, and this is very comparable.  It's reasonably priced, looks recently remodeled in a modern, clean fashion.   We didn't try the free breakfast, but notice many other people were.  Not a fancy, swank resort hotel, but we weren't wanting to pay for that, either  Very pleased.

Excellent stay, would recommend to others

Stayed one night in early October 2023 at this hotel.  Booked a room with 2 queen size beds.  The room showed signs of "wear and tear" (i.e. damaged furniture...fixtures...wall...).  The area carpet was dirty and there was mould in the bathroom.   Location was convenient for me (close to highway and a mall).  Breakfast was simple (eggs, sausage, toast, fruit...).   The bright note was the the staff was friendly and professional.  If you need to spend more than one night in Portland, recommend you book at another hotel.  

Just okay...nothing spectacular

Our room here was very nice.  The internet worked great & the hot breakfast was superb.  However, we had issues.  When we got there the refrigerator had been turned off & the bottom was full of water we had to clean up.  The TV didn't work & when we tried to call the front desk to tell then about the TV the hotel phone didn't work.  I went to the front desk to tell them about the TV & was told the maintenance guy would check it out in about half an hour.  I later found out the maintenance guy also drives the airport shuttle so if something went wrong in a room it wouldn't get fixed if there was a shuttle run.  When the maintenance guy finally got to our room he said that the TV needed to be replaced & that he would bring another one to our room.  Shortly after he left the front desk told us there were no spare TVs & we could go to another room.  Since we were about to go to bed, we declined the offer.  We asked for some compensation for the issues we had & were told only the manger could do that.  We were told that the manager had a family emergency & would not be in for a couple of days.  We left a note for the manger explaining our issues & was assured it was placed on her desk.   A week later, we had not heard from the hotel, so I called to see if the manger had been in.  I was told she had not & that she was on a small vacation not to return for at least another week.  Since this is a Choice hotel & I am a Choice Platinum member I contacted Choice customer service, explained the situation & was promptly given more compensation than what I asked for.  This is a nice hotel, but if something goes wrong don't expect them to do aything abou it.

Great facilities with no management

The Good: 

1) location, close to Maine Mall so driving to the shops ain’t that difficult. 

2) bed and pillows were very comfortable, rooms were spacious. 

Needs improvement: 

1) wooden flooring in the rooms felt sticky so it was gross to walk on. 

2) the laundry room only opens from 9am-9pm. The timing is not suitable for guests who need to do laundry at night or earlier in the morning before we hit the road again. 

3) breakfast items need improvement. Otherwise this is a motel so don’t expect too much you will be ok.

Just an okay stay

This hotel looked and smelled clean and fresh. I loved the decor in the lobby area as well as in the room. Our room was a good size, including the bathroom, shower, and vanity. The bed was firm with acceptable pillows (if only one was sleeping in a bed--probably not enough for 2). The breakfast was excellent with lots of space. Employees we encountered were friendly and welcoming. The property was easy to get to and it was easy to get to places to eat. We stayed here twice--at the beginning of our trip and also at the end before we flew home. I would definitely stay here again!

Clean and Fresh

Rooms were clean but don't  use their shuttle  service.  We flew out for vacation  when we came back we had to call twice for shuttle pick up at 11pm. 
When we got to car someone had hit my car door and when I called and emailed the Manager and no response. 
When I called the desk lady  her response was  well who told us we could leave our car. 
Stay across town... much better customer service.  


Shuttle

If you're traveling on 95 or 295, getting to the hotel is a bit confusing, but if you map it on your phone it will come right up. Check in was fast, about 3 min. We had reserved ahead. It was raining hard, and there is no cover over the entrance, nor is there assigned parking for check in. 

Lobby is very trendy. In fact it appears the entire property has had a major renovation in the past few years. This does contribute to our only complaint... All the hard surface (floors) makes guest noise very obvious. People walking in the room above us at 4 am was loud enough to awaken us. 

All the staff were really pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was nice with two hot dishes, waffles, lots of pastry, muffins, and bread. Juice was COLD! Loved it. 

Rooms were clean and bright, and included a mini-fridge, microwave, TV, iron, desk and two chairs. Bathroom had a lovely walk in shower with plenty of hot water.
