Staff is good, room was clean and kept so. Cookies! I require more than 1 wash cloth at a time. Solid parking arrangement. Boot brushes are good. Hot water ran out, hotel was full and I got done working late. 

Good

It was a decent place to sleep. The breakfast was edible. Don’t know what more you want me to say. The temperature of the room was too cold and the bedding was not warm enough and it was noisy and I won’t likely stay here again blah blah blah enough said?

A few words 

The local was nice not too far from Walmart. The desk clerk gave us a doggie bag for the dog. The doggie bag included a toy. the breakfast was wonderful.  The manager was very polite mr only. We will be coming back when we come back to storm lake

Room was clean. Most things worked OKAY.  The hair dryer did not work …there was a small refrigerator  and microwave. We could not figure out how to use the TV streaming service. 
  The breakfast service was lacking…just bread , no bagels or muffins…had to ask for hot cups.
  We’ve stayed there before and it was better

Putting our house on the market

We stayed here from Fri to Sun. Decided to go with the King Suite w/ Balcony. Pool was closed again!. Front desk was awesome, but the condition of the hotel is not good, not very clean. Had a few spots that had spider webs. A friend recommended this hotel to us I decided to give this a try and was not happy with the stay. I did get ahold of front desk Fri for a issue I had and Issue never got addressed. The small sofa cushion had so much dirt/crumbs underneath it.

Would not recommend.

I had made reservations online for a room for two.  A day later I reserved at second room for one and paid for it, but could not get a confirmation from this vendor. I tried calling the motel/hotel direct, but there was no answer after at least 35 rings and numerous retries.  I finally  was able to cancel both rooms using a third party. I am glad I was able to cancel, because I had not read other reviews about the cleanliness of this place.  I would recommend staying clear of this place.  I rate it RED for RED ALERT!

Left High and Dry

I have stayed at this hotel exclusively will working on Storm Lake, IA.  Each time the staff is friendly and helpful.  Jeffery the front desk clerk is helpful when I have questions.  But I will point out things that I don't that I feel are below Choice Rewards standards.  First the room I was given was just remodeled I was told.  I got to the room and it was remodeled.  Looked nice.  I went to place my coffee did into the fridge that's provided and it was not on.  So I figured it was not plugged in.  It wasn't.  But after plugging in and leaving it in the fridge still remained warm.  Apparently the electrical socket was not working.  As something that was remodeled, I feel all outlets soothe be working properly and the fridge already set up to keep foods cold.  This did not happen.  I mentioned it to Jeffery and he apologized and asked if I wanted to move to another room.  So I did.  This second room everything sleep to be working properly.  Then I noticed that there was a dried washed cloth hanging from the shower curtain rod.  I mentioned to the front desk the following day.  Well on my last day even I checked out out was still hanging up there.  I feel better follow-up with housekeeping soothe be done in all the rooms before a guest is given keys to a room.  Also when am issue comes up I feel it needs to be taken care of.  This did not happen.  Because there are few hotels in the city, choices are limited.  I would still recommend this place and I will still stay here.  Breakfasts are good.  

Make sure fridge works

Terrible motel! Terrible front desk man!!!  Extremely awful service!!! The amenities are non-existent and misrepresented!   Go anywhere but here; save yourself from this terrible experience and your money and just don't do it!!!

RUDE!!!!!!

We came to Storm Lake, Iowa on short notice due to a family death over the holidays. Since it was short notice we couldn't get our dogs boarded and needed a place to accommodate. We could only find 2 hotels in the area and picked what we thought was best. We saw they had a king bed Suite room online I decided to called to inquire more, I spoke to a gentleman, and told him we had dogs and were looking at booking the king suite he said to do it online as it had better rates, so that is what we did, book the room for December 22nd and December 23rd. It was a late night travel and we got in about 8:30-9pm. My greeting was not welcoming at all, I had to call a number with a phone that sat at the desk to then have the worker shout "I'm right here" walks out and then says "what do you want" WOW, this is how the greet guests??? I simply stated I had a reservation and he then proceeded to tell me we couldn't stay in the king suite because of our dogs. I stated that is not what the gentleman told me this morning, he never mentioned it. His response. "oh he's new he doesn't know what he is talking about". Fine fine, I moved on, I didn't know what else to do because we needed a place to stay, so I just agreed and they put us into a two double bedroom. The rooms were horrid, there were hairs on the toilet, on all the bedding, it was dusty and dirty and the smell of the hotel was just a burn of chemicals. Since it was late we didn't know what to do so we stayed, I mean we were staying for a funeral over Christmas Holiday. I then communicated with many family members and found a quaint motel that would accommodate us due to our circumstances and allowed us to bring our dogs with. We were supposed to stay at the quality for 2 nights, we left that hotel in a hurry! During this pandemic, I decided to just call instead of check out at the front desk, because their workers weren't wearing masks and we are following guidelines. When I called I spoke with a lady and stated that we are checking out early because we were highly dissatisfied with the room that we just couldn't handle staying there all day and another night. I was speaking in a normal voice and her response wasn't to ask what was wrong, she literally just says "well your room was on a promotional rate so I can't refund it". I was just trying to provide a courtesy call by stating we left so that they could "do their procedure of checkout" Yes, I would have hoped they would have done more but at this point I knew we weren't going to stay there no matter what. When that was the only response she gave me I felt at that point they do not care about the customer at all and I said I don't care it was a horrible experience and that was the end of the conversation. They really don't give a crap at all. So lucky we found a family owned motel that could accommodate us and our situation.
List of all the issues:
-The smell of the hotel, burning chemicals
-Hairs in bed, on the toilet -- like the sheets were not washed??
-over all dirty place, dusty.
-The door locks, their wasn't even appropriate hardware in the door frame for the deadbolts. The extra lock was busted
-Light switches in the bathroom were busted
-the window didn't even lock and the screen could have easily been removed.
Do not recommend this hotel at all. Check out local motels not chains in this area as there are a few that will most likely accommodate your needs!

Way worse than expected. Dirty rooms

Should have read the reviews with only a 2 rating.  Came here on business expecting to do some work and AFTER checking in they tell me there is no internet. Told me there is WiFi because of the coming storm. WHAT?  Was going to checkout and go to a hotel with WiFi but they would not let me checkout without paying. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.
