The price is very affordable and if you just need a place to sleep it is OK.  We stayed in room 32.  However, no way is it more than 2 dots.  The room was relatively clean, but extremely worn out.  Worn out furnishings, heat was difficult to use, and a portion of the ceiling falling down (looked like water damage).  No in-room coffee, no blanket on the bed (only the bedspread).  Breakfast was advertised to start at 6 AM, it didn't.  We went to check out at 6, grab a bite and coffee.  No one in the office, no coffee, no food.  There is a Casey's convenience store next door, but it is the most run down Casey's I have ever seen--don't count on it for any kind of food items.  Again, if you just need to sleep it is OK. 

OK to get some sleep

We stayed here for one night on our way back to Ohio after visiting the Grand Canyon. We had planned all our other nights, but this one was sort of on-the-fly... I began looking at motel websites in western Missouri before we reached Kansas City, and this one caught my eye because of its rate and proximity to the interstate, so I reserved a room.

The motel is right off the exit, next to a Casey's and another gas station but not much else. It's a one-story, single wing building with rooms on both sides. A cornfield flanked the parking lot. The lady in the office was very nice, and check-in was quick. Our room was very spacious -- probably the largest on our entire trip -- and definitely clean. Some of the furniture was a little older but in good condition, as were some of the finishings, but it more than served the purpose.

A/C worked beautifully and the area was peaceful at night. Definitely worth the value and I'd have no hesitation about staying again.

Last night of a road trip

The room was fine. The location was directly off the freeway. There was nothing outstanding, but we had a fine night’s sleep.
A bit out dated and in need of some TLC.
Not much on the way of food options near by.

Fine for overnight

We stayed at this motel in September 2022. It was the first time in a motel. The experience was certainly good. The hotel is quite neat and clean. Each room has its own car seat in front of the entrance door, certainly a comfort zone. The room is quite large, the sink is inside the room, while the rest of the bathroom is in a separate room (always inside the room). In the room, besides the refrigerator, there is also a convenient microwave for those who want to eat in the room.

family travel

Based on reviews read here, we opted to stop overnight on our way to north Texas.  It's a good place to stop.  Not fancy, but clean and well cared for.  Check-in was quick even though we got there after 10PM.

Overnight stop heading west

This was a random stop along a very long cross country trip, but we're glad we stopped here.  The small motel looks like it's undergone some renovations/upgrades recently.  It was comfy and safe and the management was friendly.  I wish they had a better breakfast selection, but there is a great little coffee shop a few minutes away into Sweet Springs, proper.  Also, this is a pretty good bargain compared to the hotels up the road in Concordia.  I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Very cute little roadside motel

This was a great place for a quick stopover on a long trip. It is literally right off the highway but is placed between a convenience store and a corn field so it is quiet. It was clean, the bed was comfortable,  the wifi connection was good and the staff was friendly. Not luxurious but a solid value!

Clean, quiet & comfortable

After a long hard day on the road weary from fighting the traffic for hours and facing another long day on the road tomorrow, what I was looking for was a clean basic room with easy access.  If you want to pay much more for a chain motel that isn't better or one with an average breakfast at twice the price then feel free.  This is the kind of place that I use Trip Advisor to find.  Thanks Night Inn for a good stop over for the rest this old women needed for her tired and stiff body.

We found this location thanks to TripAdvisor, and so glad we did.  It is modest, but clean.  The staff knows what "customer service" means.  It was easy off/on from the Interstate.  You will need to take their advice and look for the Casey's Convenience Mart though!  No sky-high neon here!  We rested well and appreciated the pleasant staff.  It is "old school" with parking at your door, but the attention to upkeep and upgrades was more than expected.  Only downside - I didn't find a website for them, so I knew I'd have to post a review so we can find it again in the future!

Best option between Kansas City and St. Louis

We tried to rent a room on May 21st. The room had such a horrible stench ! We started the AC and left the door opened thinking maybe it would get better. Before bringing our luggage in I took clorex wipes to clean the surfaces of the bathroom. The sink had mold growing around it. The headboards had not been cleaned in a while. The entertainment center was also covered in dust. I pulled back the bedding and saw black bugs(bed bugs). The sheets were old with stains. Behind the bed under the headboard had never been cleaned. The place was disgusting and I started having labored breathing. We were in the room for less than an hour. I went to the front desk to ask for our refund. As I was trying to talk to the lady I couldn't stop coughing. She said they would not give a refund. I opened the door and asked my boyfriend to call 911 and a ambulance. The ambulance attended to me for an hour. Whatever they had in that room, whether it be a dog, cat, smoker or something dead it took my breath. Horrible people to deal with too. The officer on duty brought our credit card out to us and told us they would refund 43.00 of a 73.86 charge. It is May 26th and we have yet to get any refund. We asked the officer and emt's where would be a good place to stay. They said keep driving to Columbus. We did and rented a nice clean room for the same price at The Ramada. Don't stop at sweet springs night inn it's not sweet !!
