My boys and I came to TN to visit the Buford Pusser Home and Museum. I did not want to spend a whole lot on a room, and after doing some looking I found the Savannah Motel. I am really glad I did! Very friendly staff, a clean and comfortable room, and inexpensive. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back. 

Give this place a shot!

On a recent weekend getaway to pick up a Facebook marketplace purchase, we needed a place to sleep. Not finding anything nearby on my usual hotel app. We find this cute little place on bookings.com app. It was located close to the Waffle House and the church we planned to attend. The room was clean, and the price was fair. the bed was comfortable enough. The attendants checking us in and out were friendly. If in the area would stay again.  

Nice, clean place for a getaway. 

If you want a pool and a workout room and a free breakfast, this is not your place. If you are seeking a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with great water pressure, lots of cable channels and reliable wifi, a microwave and mini fridge great lighting and parking at your door, this is your motel. Family owned and run for over 25 years. Pride of ownership shows!

Super clean basic motel

Checked into the room. Ceiling had water damage and bathtub had major chipping of the painted bathtub. Bathroom floor was sticky. Took a shower. Then turned out the lights, turned back the bedding and cockroaches scattered. My husband and I packed our bags. Went to the office and asked for a refund was told I was lying. I said," I'm not staying in a room with cockroaches." She refunded the night. We went to drive 30 more miles to another hotel and the check in clerk called me to call me a liar again, followed by more raised voice and finally her hanging up on me. Said she just went to the room and saw nothing. I asked if the lights were on and she said yes and I explained bugs usually hide when the lights are turned on.  Then she began yelling that I was lying. Why would I inconvenience myself to pack back up and drive another 30 miles at 9pm, after already driving 7 hours to lie about cockroaches. The hotel is not maintained. I understand that things happen and bugs happen. My problem is unprofessionalism and calling me a liar then calling me again to call me a liar, again. Yes, I took a shower and yes I dealt with the room until I turned the covers back and I couldn't sleep with bugs. I travel often so I am used to hotels having issues but the unprofessionalism is inexcusable, hence the negative review. There was limited hotel availability in the area and wasn't expecting a Hilton experience but this was a bit much. Beware they are nice until there is a problem.

Bugs are one thing, excessive rudeness is another

Traveling from North Central Arkansas this was our stopping point for the night. We had a non-smoking king bed room next to the office. It was a good room with a wonderful shower. The flat-screen TV was a very good surprise. Thank you for a good night's sleep  Savannah Motel.

Stayed in this hotel only because it had the best reviews out of the four hotels on hotels.com offered near Shiloh Battlefield.  I will say the same thing other reviewers have said. 
Good:  within driving distance to Shiloh, owners live onsite and are very friendly. This made it easy to check in later at night (9:00 pm). The room was clean and cleaned daily.  There is a local museum located beside the motel. I guess the price was “ok” ($70-ish) although I’ve stayed in nicer hotels in that range. 
Negatives:  the room is SMALL and the furnishings are OLD and outdated. There is a fridge and microwave but no coffee maker. The AC is loud. So loud you cannot hear the TV and it was difficult to sleep. The ice machine is located in an unlit alcove between 2 buildings - I would not go alone. the noise from vehicles going into the courthouse next door may bother you. 
Note:  If you just want a convenient place to sleep before/after seeing the battlefield this may be it. In the future I would drive a little distance to stay elsewhere. 


Visiting Shiloh

It was an ok place clean enough but pool was broken and breakfast was almost not worth the walk... In a pinch its not bad its just old and needs updating... But I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there.

The woman working at the front desk when I checked in was very nice and checked me in quickly. The room isn't amazing, but it has what you need for a night's stay. The best part was the bed - SUPER comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but that's expected for a motel this age. I would stay here again if I was in the area. The room was clean, the air conditioner worked well, and the tv was nice.

Fine place to spend the night for the cost

No frills - average motel.  Only stayed one night on our way to Memphis.  Not much to add except it's clean, comfortable and quiet.  As I said, it's basic - no coffee making facilities but it was OK for a one night stopover.

You get what you pay for.

Not much to say about this motel. It's basic, clean, inexpensive lodging. Owners are very pleasant and accommodating. I have a hunting property in the area, and stay here on a regular basis. I tend to prefer the rooms on the "office side" as there is some street noise from trucks on the opposite side. Wifi has been good in all the rooms I've stayed in.
