As soon as I walked in and turned on the light I saw a baby roach crawling across the floor. There was dead roaches behind the bathroom door. The water temp in the shower was not even luke warm. I called the front sldesk and was told there was only one other room, which was a smoking room and they all share a hot water supply, so there was nothing they could do. The description of the room showed a microwave and fridge. There was NO microwave which was our whole plan of eating our dinner. The beds had the smallest pillows I've slever seen and each bed was covered with a plastic bed cover under the fitted sheet, so as you can imagine every time you rolled over it sounded like you were opening a chip bag. Was told maybe because it was an online reservation I may could get a refund. I doubt it. Noone spoke about my complaints again. I would spend the extra 20$ and stay anywhere else honestly. I don't know how they are even open.

Horrible!

Horrible! Pool OUT of order, soda machine  OUT of order, vending machine OUT of order, ice machine OUT of order, security cameras not working manager that lives on grounds named KImar, the worst person to have in hospitality buisness he cursed at my wife becasue she was asking for a refund because of all the roaches , on top of all the rest I states above , Go next door to Americas Best ,Inn , they have a great breakfast at least !!

DONT DO IT 

They didn't have their own driveway to get to the property but borrowed the entry of the shops next door. You don't find out til after you end up passing them on the feeder/frontage road so you have to drive a couple miles down the highway before you can loop back around and try again. Not enough parking for a full hotel so you have to park around back and carry all of your luggage around to the front of the building on degraded and lumpy pavement. Great opportunity to get mugged. Check-in guy was a little combative. They have a 4pm check-in (later than other hotels) and refused to let me check in a half hour early (had a 4:40pm wedding to attend) so I had to find something to do until then delaying my ability to get cleaned up, dressed and make it on time to the wedding. Their space for hanging clothes was built wrong so they only had room for hanging a few things without them getting tangled up and wrinkled. Unrepaired damages to the walls set a hole-in-the-wall vibe. Entire room reeked of marijuana (fragrant to some?). They didn't tell me there were no extra pillows (as I had requested it) until I checked in, leaving me no other options, then their pillows were too small and weak. Later that night I discovered that NONE of the good channels on their TV had sound. All the sports channels seemed to work so that might be good for some lodgers. No microwave as advertised. Not worth the money for me. Will never go back nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

Keep Driving

To get onto the property you have to enter the driveway for the business before the hotel and after the Jack in the Box, and there is not a sign. What I thought was the entry was a one-way exit, and I had to circle back around. There were no single bed rooms available, so I had to pay extra for a two bed room, but it was probably still the least expensive place in town. The nice man at the front desk said there were a lot of work crews in town since the first of the year, and the companies are renting blocks of rooms for the week. The hotel is on the highway, so there is lots of highway noise. I slept with my noise cancelling headphones on. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding was clean and in good shape. Wi-fi worked great. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. No plugs by the table or desk, only by the door and the beds. I was able to plug my computer charger into the plug for the TV over the desk but had to climb on the desk to get to it.

It was good

It was awful, Do not waste your money, there was roaches inside,the door would not lock, the latch at the top of door was barely hanging on we had to sleep with one eye open and gun by the bed, the light in bathroom was barely hanging on and the frig had ice about an inch thick in it, the microwave did not work, the sheets in extra bed were dirty I was miserable for the night but only stayed a few hours !

Family

Greeted with crowded front area and a guy with a raggedy pickup who loves the noise I guess because he kept driving around but didn't leave. Clerk offered us a non-smoking room upstairs in the front or smoking on the first floor. Not what we asked for earlier. Then she came up with first floor, non-smoking in the back. Yes, get me away from the racket. We enter, try the heater, it just cools. We wait 30 minutes, still cool air coming. I go go back to clerk, request a move, she offers to work on it. Sure, take your best shot. She does something to it and shows me the room next door that hasn't been remodeled. Looked better to me. Wife hollers, heat is on. Never mind.
TV too small for large room. Cable is limited and picture is obsolete. Sink and counter top has room for one. Flooring seems to be parquet, not my favorite. We were quoted a higher price on the 855 number but paid $56, closer to what it should be. Manager (?) is a nice guy.

Goldilocks strikes again but saves money

Appalling front desk service.

My husband‘s mother was dying so we got him a last minute trip here so that he could say goodbye. It was a traumatic experience for us. I called the front desk to inquire about some of the things that were going on in his room… including tons of bugs. I’ve stayed here before and that was not a problem. But the rudeness I received from the front desk person tonight was disgusting. She should be fired. This is December 2, 2021. We will never stay here again..

When it works, the internet is fast. I had tested it before I made reservations. I had been told that it had just been fixed. But it crashed regularly during my stay. Consequently, I was unable to work as I'd expected, requiring me to cancel online appointments. When it happened the first time, I learned that the motel's ISP - or perhaps the motel's IT person - evidently does not work after hours or on weekends. (!)  When it happened a second time and a third time, I asked for a modest discount (e.g. $10-15) on the days in which I lost income because their wifi was down. I was told: "No. You could have left." But when the internet was still down the next morning, and I checked out two days early, I was not given a full refund for the two nights I'd already paid for but would not use. The staff person refused to talk about any ways to resolve this to our mutual satisfaction. She simply stonewalled me. When I return to Livingston, I will not stay here again, and I cannot recommend it to others. The score of 2 is because otherwise, the room met minimum standards that I required.

Unreliable internet and unethical response

Motel 6 Livingston has affordable rates, clean rooms, and super friendly staff. They don't have the added amenities like other hotels in the area, but that's ok as I tend to travel with my own shampoo and necessary items. I asked for extra pillows, blanket, and towel and was quickly accommodated. The rooms are spacious and ours was newly renovated. The bed was comfortable, cold a/c, and great water pressure. What more could you ask for?

Best Rates & cleanest rooms

I chose Motel 6-Livingston because they would allow me to have my dogs.
Check in was quick & easy.
Front desk lady - very nice.
However, trying to get in my room (127) was a challenge on Friday that progressed to frustrating by Saturday and aggravating by Sunday.
You had to slide the card, remove it quickly & grab the lever door knob and pull up hard while slamming your hip into the door to get it to open.
With each access to the room:
3 trips to unload car
Each and every dog walk
Each time returning from meals or visiting family & friends
3 times to reload car upon departure.
By the time I checked out I had a sore hip and a sweet little bruise.
Did the front desk know about this?
Absolutely, she showed me the 'trick' to get into my room and never offered to switch rooms.
Apparently housekeeping couldn't figure out how to get in either as she had asked what was needed for the day and I requested clean towels.  So when I got back Saturday evening, I had to take the wet towels to the front desk and request clean ones ... yep, another hip slam to the door.
The bed was comfy...I always bring my own pillow.
The property was quiet.
The room could use some updates and a good cleaning but for the price and location it would have been great.  If only I could have gotten into my room without doing  body slams.
