A very clean hotel near capitol reef. We would definitely stay here again! The deli/store/restaurant next door had the best quality food with very nice workers. There was also a coin laundry there. We didn’t need to use it but it would have been very convenient 

Best hotel/restaurant 

We stayed here for 2 nights in one of the two bedroom cabins. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. Nice roomy cabin to come back to after a day in Capitol Reef park. Nice sore right across the parking lot with groceries and bakery. Delicious bakery breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect cabin getaway!

Great place to stay.  Close food options and the pool / hot tube was very clean.  Quiet and comfortable.  Cute little town that is very well kept. Close to a lot of great sites.  Would definetely recommend. 

Great place to relax and stay.

This motor inn is only open from April/May to mid October, so be advised. Room was clean and Air conditioning worked well. Family owned and good service. As a hotel guest, you get complementary coffee/tea/hot chocolate at the next door store/deli. No elevator but rooms come with fridge and microwave. Bed was good, but the pillows were not so good. Convenient for walking to a number of restaurants.

Good value stay in Torrey, UT

Visiting Capital Reef NP makes this a perfect location! Rooms very clean with comfortable beds and very friendly staff!!  The deli was delicious and the store so convenient. I would definitely stay here again!!

What a gem!!

We spent two nights here while we visited Capitol Reef National Park. There were 5 of us so we selected one of the cabins. The lodge and the cabins are very pretty. There were lots of flowers everywhere. It was very appealing.

The cabin had a nice porch with log furniture. When you entered the cabin you were in a living room with a couch, recliner, TV and a counter with 2 barstools. To the right is a small kitchen. There were dishes, a sink, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster etc.

At the back of the cabin there were two bedrooms and a bathroom. The cabin was very cute and very clean. Since there were 5 of us we checked out the sofa bed. We couldn't get it open since it was wired shut. Our reservation clearly said there were 5 of us but there really wasn't a place for the 5th person to sleep. We went to the office and we were told that we can't use the sofa bed. There was a cot available to use for an additional charge. We paid the $20 and took the cot. In the whole scheme of things the $20 was no big deal. But our reservation was for 5. We didn't sneak the 5th person in. There should have been accommodations for the 5th person. Despite that little hiccup we really enjoyed our cabin and our stay.

On site is a cafe with delicious baked goods, a general store, a laundry (with about 5 washers and dryers) and even showers. We did two loads of wash the first night  we were there. We had to get quarters from the store. The girl in the store was so nice. She said the laundry room closes at 9, but if you need more time just let me know. We didn't need any more time but it was so nice that she offered to keep it open for us.

As a guest of the hotel we could get coffee, tea, hot chocolate from the store at any time for no charge. We just had to wave our key when we walked out with our coffee. The baked goods made for a wonderful breakfast and they were reasonably priced. The little café would make you a box lunch to take into the park and they had a really nice menu.

We really loved this hotel and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely 2 Bedroom Cabin Near Capitol Reef National Park

We stayed here for a few nights the 2nd week of October. Got the referral from other TripAdvisor travelers. This place is everything the other posters have said and more. On our 8-day journey to see the Mighty 5, Chuckwagon Lodge was our favorite place to stay. Hands down, no question!

Stay here; you will not be disappointed!

Our room was very clean and had everything we needed.  The property is very well maintained, cared for and quiet.  The Lodge is in the center of town and within walking distance to a few eateries for dinner since the deli is only open for breakfast and lunch.  We enjoyed a tasty sandwich at the deli on the property.  Coffee in the morning there was great with several choices as was the breakfast we ordered.  Located on the main highway, this property is a convenient drive to Capital Reef.   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Very well cared for property

This place is awesome.  Bill at the front desk is so friendly and welcoming.  The room is immaculate.  Location is central to stores, gift shops, and restaurants.  We usually stay at Capitol Reef Resort, but this is our new favorite place.

Immaculate, convenient, incredibly friendly

We really enjoyed our stay here. We booked the 2-bedroom cabin and it worked out great for us. The office was very helpful and it was really nice having laundry, store and deli/bakery across the parking lot. The pool and hot tub were well-kept as were the grounds. We would definitely stay here again.
