New carpet, and room was spotless. Friendly staff.  Great BBQ restaurant across the street. Breakfast is the standard mid-priced motel fare, but the dining area is large.  Nice protected courtyard for sitting outdoors. 

If you’re coming to Moab from the south, save money and spend your first night here. Better accommodations for the price than you’ll find in Moab. 

CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, and REASONABLY PRICED

 We planned a trip to Bear's Ears National Monument. Monticello was the closest town and offered 3 places to lodge. The Inn at the Canyons seemed the nicest from the photos and reviews and we were not disappointed. The rooms were nicely appointed, very clean - seems that they might have been recently updated. All rooms had microwaves and fridges which enabled us to pack lunches for our park picnics and keep some snack as well. The facility itself was welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. The staff was just great! They had a lovely pool and hot tub though we did not use them. The breakfast offerings were very nice - certainly adequate: omelets, pancakes, waffles, fruit, muffins, various toaster items. We were very satisfied! The location was key - about 30 minutes from the monument and the lower end of Canyonlands. We would happily book again.

A Very Nice Place to Lodge

The only real positive was that the room and bedding was very clean. The heater was very loud (made sleeping difficult), there was very limited TV channel selection and the room was very dated. The breakfast we mediocre. Not what we expected for what we paid.

All these things would have been more acceptable if the rate wasn't 60%+ more than you would pay for a basic Circle 8 Hotel. This review is primarily based on this hotel being way overpriced for what you get.



Overpriced for what you get.

Great place to stay with kids.  The pool and hot tub are huge, crystal clear clean, and in a nice warm room decorated with lots of tropical plants.  We rolled in late, so we also enjoyed the variety of snacks available for purchase.  Breakfast and coffee were good.  Beds were comfortable.

Excellent!

We chose this hotel because of its location to the above-mentioned national parks. 

The hotel is located on a highway, but was quiet as our room faced the backside of the hotel. There is free parking at the hotel. There is also a possibility to purchase microwavable food at machines in the foyer and there is a pool, too.

The room was comfortable and clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. 

Breakfast was fine. But some personnel passing through the breakfast room were not very customer friendly. We would greet with a good morning and would get no answer in return. We felt ignored. If it had only happened once, I would not mention it. But this happened more than once.

Monticello is otherwise a very small town but does have a supermarket for groceries and next door to the hotel is a gas station and a subway.

Good Location for Visiting Arches NP, Canyonlands NP and Monument Valley

We stayed here for two nights and found it to be a very good location for visiting the Needles district of Canyonlands NP and Natural Bridges NM. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was good water pressure in the shower. The sink is separate from the shower/toilet, making it easier for multiple people to get ready in the morning. However, they should really install outlets on both sides of the bed in the year 2022. There are a few nearby restaurants in town and there was plenty of parking available for guests. The only negative about breakfast was that there were no hot protein options, although having both pancakes and waffle options are nice. It should also be noted, if you have a 2nd floor room, there is no elevator and you'll need to be able to carry your luggage up/down the stairs.

Two-Night Stay...Pretty Good

Very helpful receptionist got the struggling heater to work (is old technology). Clean room. Comfortable bed, but a bit more firm than others. Typical breakfast but with a couple fewer offerings. On the road for easy access.

May be as good as you'll find in this small town

After looking at the prices in Moab and trying to find a pet-friendly hotel, I booked this on their site. Totally an excellent value. My room was very comfortable and well appointed. Bed was super comfortable. But the star of the show was the shower. Killer water pressure combined with a huge showerhead made for one of the best mornings ever! Wish I had had the energy to check out the pool, as it looked very nice and how lovely that it is indoors. Friendly front desk and cozy decor. Will keep this on my list for when I'm driving through again.

Great value

A welcome site at the end of a nice long day. There is easy parking all around the building so there’s no bad spots. 

There are no elevators, so if stairs are an issue you’ll need to ask for a first floor, However, we were on the second and got to have wonderful views both in the evening as we were coming in and in the morning as we were leaving. 

The pool is amazing and the hot tub was the perfect end for the night. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable and the showers were good and hot with good pressure. 

The breakfast in the morning was nice and simple but perfect for a great morning start.

Book it if you can, definitely try the pool and hot tub.

We stayed here some years ago and liked it so much we returned with our grandsons in tow. Nice Hotel, rooms good size and although located on the highway very quiet. Nice pool with hot tub, nice breakfast area with good selection of hot and cold offerings, friendly staff. fairly adjacent to lots of wonderful areas of Utah.
