The people are super nice easy check in and check out well taken care of rooms they double check in the morning that your getting ready for check out which I love. Man at the desk is super kind even remembered me and my boyfriend and rooms are way nicer then people make them seem

Better then it seems

Reserved our room here on the way to Myrtle Beach, The rewards card is in my wifes name as we tried to consolidate both our cards when we got married and they said we couldn't have two people on One card. My wife doesn't walk well she has a walking disability so I always check in. When I handed the woman my ID she said she needed my wife side to me because it was reserved in her name so I went to the car and got it then she said she needed both IDs, I had never had this happen before. I requested a first floor room near the lobby. I did get first floor but it was the furthest room they had from the lobby. Walk down at 7:30 am to get my wife a coffee they had three muffins on the table no coffee no cups and no one around there was a sign that said ring buzzer if you needed service I figured I wouldn't wait around for them to make coffee so we left. Probably would not stay here again. 

Won't be my first choice 

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, I mean almost stayed at. First turn off was the front desk is protected entirely by heavy glass. Not for Covid protection, more like security reasons. We get our room (206) and drive around the building and I discover my second turnoff, most of the hotel is occupied by long term residents. When I grab a few bags from my car and start up the stairs, people started sticking their heads out of the doors to see the "fresh meat" moving in. Very uncomfortable feeling. Once in the room, the musty, stale cigarette smell smacks you in the face. Didn't stick around very long after seeing the bedspread had many burn marks, that was enough for me! The nicest thing I can say about this place is they gave me a refund when I explained my experience. Shame on me for not reading the reviews before I decided on this place.

Avoid this place!!!

They made a copy of my credit card even though I had booked and paid for the rooms online. That night and the next day my card was used for Uber rides. I called my cc company and she told me that someone had linked my card to their Uber account.  Of course I had to cancel the card.

If you find yourself in Ruther Glen, Virginia, consider staying at the Wyndham Super 8. World class professional staff and conveniently located to the main highway, food and gas. I was traveling for business and needed a place to stay while working in town. The convenience of location and the Professional Staff made my stay at Wyndham Super 8 comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend giving Wyndham Super 8 a visit when you find yourself in Ruther Glen.

My stay in Ruther Glen, Virginia

This location is horrible.  The doors have gaps in them.  This location has a lot of locals living there, it's next to a truck stop.  You have people sitting outside your door until 2/3 am drinking, smoking carrying on.  Your room fills with second hand smoke big time.  There is no pool, you can't access the lobby.  They make you use a teller window then act as if they can't hear you.  They don't stock the bathrooms with towels or toilet paper.  Run. 

Run.. find somewhere else

Stopped for one night on a road trip. Linens were filthy and stained. Food options consist of waffles and coffee. Nothing to drink for the kids. Staff was miserable. When I asked for an additional towel since there were only two in the room, they said I wasn’t allowed to get one because I was checking out but they knew there were three people in my room so I dried with a hand towel. Safe yourself the aggravation. 

Do not recommend

The employees are mean and nasty and they is never anyone at the front desk, the guy was on the phone the whole time checking in, they treat you like a criminal even with 4 kids. The bathrooms are nasty and it’s 10 mins from king’s dominion 

Truck Stop Motel You Don’t Want To Stay


If Super 8 is the last available choice for a room you’re better off sleeping in your vehicle as it would certainly be cleaner and more comfortable and staff wouldn’t have a chance to play tricks with your credit card !!!

Charged twice for the same room for the same nights stay.

This  establishment was horrible, it was so dirty!  I asked for a room change 3 times and each room was worse than the other. The coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned, the toliet bowl had urine on it, the front door did not lock correctly, there was hair on the phone and mold in the room
