Washington Court Hotel is a sophisticated and modern hotel strategically located near Union Station and United States Capitol. We were surprised by the reviews online however we had an amazing experience here and would definitely return again.

Sleek Boutique Hotel on Capitol Hill

The beds were extremely hard. Didn’t sleep well at all as beds were harder than a brick! The room was stuffy. The managers children and adults were next door hollering extremely loud at 6 am!  Expensive for all this!! Ridiculous!

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and the bed I slept on last night was hands down the hardest. A hotel is all about a good nights sleep and that was impossible. Hard pillows, hard mattresses. Staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast less than mediocre. I would not stay here again.

Disappointed for $90 a room

I had no problem checkin' in and the clerk was very nice. The wifi worked well enough, but there wasn't a business center available. The room was nice with all the necessary amenities including a hair drier, iron and board. The bed was comfortable and their breakfast was more than just a continental type..

Not bad at all

This is another one of those motels run by foreigners who just don't understand the American concepts of quality, service, cleanliness and comfort. For example, the all important bed was lumpy, small and uncomfortable.  The person at the front desk appeared to speak English but really did not comprehend it.    If you can imagine, she needed to be convinced that the TV in the room needed to function correctly.   If your standards for these are low, you might be able to tolerate this motel but there are many better choices in the immediate area.

Worse than the reviews

Wasn't pleased,  as you walk in front door your over whelmed by smokers ashcan, room has high smell of mold or mildew ( had to stop at store and purchase bottle of fabric spray which did help enough to get us through the night) we left earlier than expected, couldn't rest or relax, also the coffee pot was dirty (pot and coffee maker itself). Won't be staying there again. "Sorry" but it's the truth.

Christmas stay while visiting children

This hotel is in the midst of a much needed renovation.  Workers began at 7am.  Due to noise level, everyone was awakened at 7am.  Room was clean.  Had double sink vanity outside of shower/toilet bathroom which made getting ready convenient for two people.

Decent stay

Not many places to choose from here, but this place is clean and staff is very responsive if you have any issues. I grew up in this area, don’t come back often, and have tried most lodgings in the area. This is the one I have decided is the best option. I can’t rave, but this is likely the best in the area.

Lower end, but clean and competent

I can’t soeak for the hotel rooms itself as I couldn’t even speak to someone to get a room!

I cannot express how frustrated and upset I am due to this hotel. I traveled late through the night from Chicago and when I arrived at my booked hotel (not this one) they told me they had overbooked and there were no rooms left.

I called Booking.com, who I had booked through, and after much difficulty finding alternative accommodation due to popularity they did find this one. The lady at Booking.com called the hotel twice last night to confirm they had availibity. She spoke to someone at the hotel both times (a male) who confirmed that I could head over in the next 20 minutes and there would be room. It was now over an hour since I had arrived at the first hotel so I was keen to get checked in.

I drove the 15 minutes to Country Hearth. When I arrived, no one was at the desk and there was a phone which said ‘dial 0 for service’, which I did and was met with a dial tone. I knocked on the ‘office door’ many times and called out. I then called the hotel from the lobby and the phone did not call. I at this point was so upset and I called Booking.com, who also tried many times to contact the hotel with no luck. It was now early hours and I desperately wanted somewhere to sleep - I do not usually travel alone and had been told everywhere else within 40miles was booked. 

I was so frustrated being in the hotel that had told Booking.com I could head over only to be met by no one. In the end I had to stay at another hotel and ended up there 2 hours after the fact.

I went back this morning to speak to a manger at this hotel. When I arrived at mid day (12pm) no one was there again!! I dialed 0 on the phone and this time it did ring through but no one came to answer, I did this twice. 

Shocking shocking service. I am glad they didn’t get my money.
