We went here for a hockey tournament and they were fabulous. It was cozy and it was just what we wanted for our team to bond. The breakfast was good along with local mad river coffee. They have a nice fire place to warm up in front of. The 3rd level had another seating area as well so families or groups could spread out

Fantastic stay

This is a nice hotel and in a beautiful setting.  Comfortable beds and the hotel has charm and although they have several rooms it feels like a small country inn.  The breakfast at this hotel is by far better than your average hotel breakfast.  I would recommend this hotel while in the area.  

Comfortable hotel exceeded our expectations.

Stayed here for 3 nights with a tour group. This property is an old Best Western Hotel and it doesn’t appear to have had many improvements since the new name change. It is a convenient location if you are there to ski. If not, it is very inconveniently located 10 miles off I-93. The rooms are nothing more than a standard motel room. The bathroom is extremely small with an old style shower curtain versus new glass doors. The towels are very low quality as are the bathroom amenities. The soap bar is literally like a Catholic host. The rug had worn areas and the walls need a good new paint job. There are no refrigerators in the rooms; merely a community fridge on the 3rd floor. The only ice machine is on the 1st floor. The positive is that I did find the bedding to be very comfortable. Unfortunately, I need more than a good bed to want me to ever return. I travel to Vermont/New Hampshire 6-8 times per year and there are so many other great options. Do your research!

BETTER OPTIONS

This was my second stay in Waterville Valley. My first stay at Town Square Condos was great, so I expected nothing less here. This place is not great. First, they refused to honor an advertised price on the Waterville Valley website, but we had already purchased plane tickets so we had no choice but to pay the higher price. 

We had a room with two double beds. One bed was pretty good but the second one was super creaky and uncomfortable. Plus, when I turned down the bed, there was all kinds of hair under the sheets. It was pretty gross. The shower was awful - no water pressure and barely any hot water. Additionally, this property is right next to the event center so one night there was a wedding with super loud music for 3+ hours (until 11pm). There is NO sound barrier from the hallway to the rooms. The cleaning staff was loudly talking at 7am one morning and of course other guests have little regard for others who may still be sleeping. 

Overall this place was just ok. Not the worst place I've stayed, but there are definitely much better places to stay within Waterville Valley.

Disappointing

We booked the Silver Fox hoping for a clean, comfortable, no-frills room in a good location.  It exceeded our expectations.  Although modest, it has a charming, cozy lodge vibe, is very tidy, and the location is ideal.  Walking distance to everything in WV - Town Square, athletic center/pool, restaurants.  Room includes day passes to the athletic center which is a plus, along with a hot breakfast buffet which was great.  The staff - Anne & Co. - were super nice and helpful.  Our only complaint is the beds; our mattresses were old, uncomfortable, and creaky, and the beds (double only) were small.  Hopefully they update those.  But other than that, if you're looking for a reasonably priced, practical place to stay in WV, I highly recommend this one.

Charming inn, perfect location, great staff

Was hoping  for a relaxing break after working from home during the pandemic. Waterville Valley is a beautiful area. Lots of opportunity for long walks. However, our room was old furniture, and very uncomfortable beds. The hot cooked breakfast that is included in the price, was the same menu each morning, and was not great quality. Four nights stay, and over $700 later, what we expected, based on advertising and reviews already listed, is nothing like what we received for the price. Christine was lovely. Our first night we had very little sleep, due to extremely noisy guests. We were happy to leave and return to our home, after a disappointing stay.

OUT DATED ROOM/ FURNITURE AT SILVER FOX INN WATERVILLE VALLEY

I stayed three nights during my visit to NH. The rooms are big and clean. Service is excellent, Christine Forge was a true sample of excellent hospitality! 

I love the time I spent in the indoor/outdoor pool, the restaurants around are great. Awesome place to visit.

Great hotel and good location

Relaxing weekend getaway with two friends in the WM. The inn is quiet, has a great terrace with views of the mountains and a common space to prepare meals. 30 min drive to Franconia. Beds were comfy, amenities were enough. All-in-all a nice place to rest your head at the end of a long day on the trails.

The Silver Fox staff accommodated our 34 member ski club with ease and expertise.
The food was delicious and served in an immaculate dining room with a mountain view.
The location is close to the pool at the Athletic Club and to the Nordic Ski Center for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and fat bikes.  Chef Susan is an expert and her staff caters to everyone's needs (allergies, etc.). Your free Freedom Pass enables you to hop a shuttle to the downhill mountain.

Beautiful, peaceful, and convenient

My husband and I were here for a wedding for an overnight.  The place was quaint, clean and spotless. We were given a room on the second floor with a huge window that overlooked the front of the parkinglot enterance which wasn't bad.  We had a bathroom with plenty of towels, toiletries, blowdryer, etc.  Closet with no door, but that was fine, coffee maker.  2 Full size beds, not queen full, plenty of outlets and the place was spotless, we were only there to sleep. Staff was friendlly.  Key cards you needed after 11pm which we did as we all hit the bar after the wedding in the town square which is walking distance from the hotel.

One great thing about being up there, look up at night, there are a ton of stars because there is not a lot of lights, so its amazing.  

Breakfast was included and looked great but we didn't utilize it as we had stuff with the wedding venue.
