Beware.. If you want to be talked down to by staff during check in , then this is the place for you! The absolute worst experience ever dealing with check in. No one to be found anywhere,even after paging them. When the hag at the front desk finally appears she immediately starts arguing with me when I told her the room was paid in advance. When I tried to show her proof ,she tells me she knows better and does this everyday.She then answers the phone and has our party waiting for 15 more minutes.  We left and got a room elsewhere and the other property treated us great!No customer service whatsoever at The Watford!

Nicely maintained. Water pressure out of tub spout was minimal but there was okay shower spray but no pressure behind it to remove shampoo so it took 3x as long as normal ( no water savings). Liked the built-in night light in the hairdryer- fantastic idea! They initially had placed us in a room near the elevator (we had requested a room away from it) but the lady at the desk was able to move us and gave us a suite in order to get us a room away from the elevator. One draw back to this place it the nearness to a busy road, on a downhill with lots of trucks engine breaking. Not too bad at night but early morning it was loud. Maybe a room away from the road would be quieter. Breakfast was similar to others but they had real utensils. Overall the hotel seemed better maintained and kept up than many we’ve stayed in recently.

Better than the average hotel

My husband and I were on a road trip.  We stayed at the Watford Hotel due to it's proximity to the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which is about 30 minutes from the hotel.  Our room was a two room suite.  The space was a good size, although the bathroom was a bit tight.  No pool.  Nice lobby area and outdoor seating with grills.  The water pressure could be better.

Stop on a road trip

This is a really nice hotel, near the visitor's center. Nice room, bed was very good, staff were nice. Very reasonable price. Free tea/coffee/cocoa available all day, free  cookies in the afternoon (yum!). Worth staying here!

Great value, in a central location in town.

Room was nice, clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with alot of options. All the staff was friendly and gave dining options, information about the area and etc.  
Had guest laundry and for a good price.

Nice Hotel

Unfortunately I did not get the lady's name who worked the evening of 7 / 10 /21  from the moment I walked in the hotel she showed me kindness and and the utmost hospitality the likes I have never seen I don't know what you pay her an hour but it is definitely not enough. I come to Watford City on business from time to time and I've never stayed at this hotel because of her this is the only place I will stay now

A weary traveler

Staff was pleasant, check-in was easy.  Room and hotel were clean. A continental breakfast was available, and guests needed to have on masks and gloves while getting food.(gloves and masks were provided.) Bread, pastries, boiled eggs, etc were all individually wrapped or bagged. Basically a decent night.

A pleasant stay

This hotel was so clean that I cannot believe it is not brand new but opened in 2012!!  The rates were also great. The 2 nights here were almost the same as 1 night we paid in Medora.  Definitely recommend!!

Super clean and affordable!

My husband and I were on vacation driving around ND and stayed here after touring Theodore Roosevelt National Park (started the day at the South Unit and drove up to the North Unit and then into Watford City).  This hotel has a good location not far off of the highway.  There are several restaurants nearby, within walking distance.  The room was clean, the only problem we had was getting the hot water to come up when we wanted a shower.  Probably due to being on the third floor and not that many guests these days.  The breakfast in the morning was certainly adequate, the breakfast room was really nice, large enough to socially distance responsibly.

Good lacation

The rooms were large and comfortable. The internet worked well. It's a good place to stay after visiting the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt NP, on our way to Regina. The location is away from the center of town, so you'll probably need a car to go dining. No staff were present at the front desk during check-out time, but it wasn't necessary. I'm guessing we could have called for someone if we needed it.
