I found the hotel room to be clean and the front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. The only negative thing I have to say is that I got very little sleep due to the guests in the hotel.  They were extremely loud, constantly knocking loudly on doors, yelling and swearing, and congregating in the halls.  The police were also there.  It's a shame I don't feel like I can stay there anymore as the price was awesome and everything else about it was just fine.  I would have needed to stay 2-3 times a week. It's too the management allows this in the hotel.

Work Related Visit

We thought a national chain would be a better budget option, have standards at least......nope. BEYOND disgusting. Took 30 minutes to check in with sketchy people hanging all around ordering and waiting for pizzas and a dead tablet. There are transient people living there we assume from the condition. The hallways are gross, random half clothed people everywhere wondering around, children running EVERYWHERE, a man was shirtlessness hanging out a window smoking, there are picnic tables with people just sitting at, half dressed and drinking. Then....our room. The floor was so gross we stuck to it. The bathroom had USED LOOFAHS still hanging in it.  The fridge smelled like something died. The blanket was visibly soiled. Tried calling the front desk, several times, no answer. We went and bought disinfectant to clean things and clean sheets and towels from Walmart. This was one night budget stay on the way up north. There was no way any other room was better and couldn't reach anyone at the front desk anyways. I feel completely ripped off. I could have saved the $45 at Walmart and gotten a much much much better room anywhere else, literally anywhere.

DO NOT STAY! Spend extra for ANYWHERE else!

DO NOT stay here! Dangerously unsanitary! Pet URINE ALL OVER MY MATTRESS PAD! On my photos believe me, these were not just stains, they were actually urine!  The floors in the room were filthy, sticky and disgusting. I asked the manager for a refund after realizing i has slept with animal urine under my head all night and he offered 5% discount. He didn't even apologize!  No thanks. I'm calling the health department.

Dangerously Unsanitary!

When we checked in the lobby had people hanging around and then when we went to pull around to our room there were people sitting in their cars smoking pot and u could smell it in the air .  When we went in the room the bed looked like it was never made up with fresh sheets

Hotel was very dirty and dingy

The night we stayed was disruptive with yelling and a dangerous enviroment. The room was bad, I was looking at a brick wall all night and we called the front desk for shampoo that wasn't already in the room and they said they don't include the shampoo in the stay. They can keep the light off for us for good. Bad experience for $68.

Horrible

The room was updated and modern looking.  It had everything that we needed and was clean.  It was very quite and we enjoyed our stay there.  It was the perfect stopping place to rest, on our drive.  I would stay there again.

PROS
Room was clean, quiet and cooled adequately.  Very good value.  Check-in was fast. Free TV with decent selections.  The property was decent looking inside and it felt safe enough.  Much good potential at this hotel.  Fix the doors, provide some basic toiletries, a fridge and voila! 

CONS
Where to begin.  Only three of the entrances could be used for entry.  The others had the electronic key passes disabled or removed.  Plenty of exits near the room, but entrances were (in my case) far from my room.  Upon arrival at the entrance, I was directed to I had a difficult time with the electronic lock as it was not lighted and it was tough to find the slot with the handful of stuff I was carrying to my room.  Once inside there were no signs and the door to the first-floor room was not evident to me so I went up the stairs, big mistake as I had to schlep my stuff even further.  Finally arrived at my room and the key card took about ten tries before it worked. (I actually had to get the keys redone twice more in the next three days as they kept failing).  Bath towels were undersized, no shampoo, no hairdryer.  Housekeeping schedule was a mystery but I did get them to change my towels a couple times. No refrigerator or microwave.

Biggest gripe was the entry mystery and resultant distant parking from the room.

Potentially great, just okay for now

Last minute reservation for us to attend an out of town wedding in Wausau.  Property is flanked by alley/parking on either side where all sorts of shady characters are hanging out smoking and talking loudly to one another.  I guess you get what you pay for as this was the cheapest option.  Property is supposedly all non-smoking yet our room reeked like an ashtray when we walked in, floor was gritty with dirt and there were disgusting stains on the bedspread.  Even at a bargain price, I expect it to be clean and no stains on the bedding.  People in nearby rooms were also very loud - seemed like an ongoing party atmosphere.  We called and asked for another room - they had none.  Desk clerk offered to come to deorderize our room.  They did come while we were out at the wedding and it helped but then smelled overpoweringly of lemon.  To their credit they also gave us a clean bedspread also (or at least not stained).  I gave one extra star for their willingness to correct the cigarette smell and stained bedspread. The noise issue continued with people talking loudly in the middle of the night seemingly right outside our door and again in very early morning.  Some things are worth paying for!  Never again.

Noisy, dirty and smelly

On a budget? This place is for you! It’s a nice place.  It’s basic. There is not a lot  perks other than the nice room, and WiFi.  It does have a television in the room. No coffee pot, no blow dryer, so make sure you have a blow dryer.  There is free coffee in the lobby, however. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. It does have free WiFi, pretty decent signal. It was quiet, and we felt it was in a safe neighborhood.
