Surprisingly nice room- clean & spacious. Comfy bed & nice to have a garden style room- just walked out to our car. Looked like the room was recently painted, with new carpet & bathroom make over. It’s a nice place!

Great stay

We were not sure what to expect but we were surprised and pleased with this motel.  It is clean and comfortable.  The price is low and a great value.  It’s located right by the interstate but we didn’t notice any loud noise.  We highly recommended it.

Very comfortable room at a great price

I did not expect much when I booked this place. I was shocked to find a large room, well cleaned and nice. The bed was so comfortable! Best sleep I had my entire trip! The staff was friendly. The place was well lit and I felt safe. This is really a hidden gem that you would not expect! For the price you can’t beat it!!

Great stay, great price!

I found it hard to found a hotel with an acceptable review in the Memphis area.  HomeGate Inn & Suites turned out to be just what I wanted. 

An inexpensive hotel that is clean, well-kept, nice rooms, updated, and close to the attractions that I wanted to see,  

Plus if you like to gamble there is a Casino close by.  

The only con is that there is no breakfast.  

This was not a problem for us since it met all of our other criteria.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again when we are in the area.

Awesome place to stay when visiting Graceland

We needed a place to spend the night in West Memphis and I made reservations here after reading the reviews. When we arrived, I immediately had second thoughts, saw that this is an old motel building that has only outside entrances to all the rooms. It had obviously been remodeled as the outside was clean and nicely painted.  But it did not help that the main lobby door was locked and I had to enter an "After Hours" check-in lobby and transact my business through a glass window even though it was only 4:30 in the afternoon.  I got the keys to our rooms which were on the second floor with outdoor stairways and no elevator.  
The door locks had been upgraded to proximity locks with key cards and when we opened the door we were pleasantly surprised.  The rooms had been very nicely redone, upgraded to the point that they were as nice as any of the major "mid-priced" chains. Since I'm not sure what that even means any more, I'm thinking of Comfort Suites, Hampton, Fairfield, etc.  That's how nice the rooms themselves were.  And the rooms and bathrooms were super clean!  There were no hooks or shelves or even a soap dish in the shower area, but the remodel was very well done, everything was new and super clean. Everything in the room worked as expected except the hair dryer in one of the rooms would not function even though the outlet was good. So, yes we'd stay here again if in the area for an overnight.
Positives were how nice and how clean the rooms were.
Negatives were check-in, outside entrances and no elevator.

Pleasantly Suprised

This hotel is a little gem!  And at an affordable rate!  Our guest room was extremely CLEAN!! Not one hair on bedding/towels. Surface areas dust free, floor well vacuumed! Very updated interior with comfortable furnishings.  WiFi was excellent! Easy & friendly service. In fact, gentleman at desk who checked us in, even helped us find a suitable parking spot for our big truck & U-haul.  Overall, exceeded our expectations! And 10 times better than the Hampton Inn we stayed in the night before!

Great value for a superbly clean hotel!

Still no breakfast due to COVID, which at this point is not a "temporary" closure. Plenty of hotels are offering at least a breakfast to go. Bigger issue was bathroom cleanliness: the shower curtain liner (which is detachable and machine washable) had obvious pink mildew and the tub itself had a residue on the bottom. The towels were clean, but some had faded stains from what looks like makeup. The quality of TV reception was also rather poor. On the positive side, the room is quite spacious and nicely decorated and the hotel staff were friendly.

Disappointing compared to others' reviews

PRO: Very comfortable king bed, proximity to highway and downtown Memphis (about 10 mins).  

CON: Difficult to find driveway entrance at night due to road design, but at least it’s connected to the driveway serving the motel to the west. When approaching from westbound I-40, instead use Thomas Street to get to Homegate. No breakfast due to COVID.

Comfy bed, clean room, close to downtown Memphis—great value!

Each staff member I met was very nice and they were happy to get any additional items we needed. Due to my schedule, I was not able to meet Lisa in person but she was my first contact by phone and she was PHENOMENAL!! She called to confirm special requests and even called again to confirm everything was set. She went above and beyond with care. I have never received this kind of service at any hotel I have stayed in. She made an emotional time a lot easier.

To Management: take care of your employees. Good people who want to work and do their job well are hard to find. Reward your employees because I'm sure they get their share of guests who are mean and/or hard to please. Remember, happy staff = happy guests and you will have many returning guests as well as new ones from referrals to keep your hotel full so that you can stay in business especially during these difficult times. I will definitely call Homegate Inn FIRST the next time I need to stay in West Memphis.

Lisa made it a great stay!!

Horrible experience.... walked in with my family that already had reservations, after they received their key card I proceeded to ask if they had an extra room for the one night stay, lady at desk replied with No, as anyone would do I said okay I’ll try and find somewhere else.. with there being a hotel right across the road I wasn’t to concerned, I followed my two relatives into their room to get on my phone and call the other hotel, as soon as enetering the room the phone was ringing, it was the lady at front desk, she called and said 3 people couldn’t be in the room, so I stepped outside and was waiting, not even seconds later she calls again and tell us not to touch anything and bring the key back down stairs, so as anyone would, we went down to the front desk, she grabbed our card threw it on the table and said she was refunding our money.. without even being told why or anything She said we don’t allow three people to stay in one bed room.. I tried explaining to her the situation and how our intentions weren’t for me to sleep there, none of us even brought our bags and luggage to the room.. she didn’t want anything to do with what I had to say, she said she didn’t want to argue.... with all that being said I’ve never felt so be Littled or uncomfortable in my life.. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend this hotel go across the road for a friendlier experience.. homegate and their employees at the front desk are not worth your troubles!
