We like to stay old-style motels with at your door parking, which makes loading and unloading the car much easier. West Plains motel had what we needed: comfortable beds, clean towels and the easy access that we like. The room does have some weird quirks, like no outlets in the bathroom or near a mirror for hair drying.Unfortunately, after we unloaded everything into our room, we discovered that the heater didn’t work. We had to move to another room, which was a hassle. The owner was out of town and the desk clerk did the best she could for us. It was also disappointing to find that there were no biscuits available as promised at breakfast time, even though we were there over an hour prior to breakfast closing. If the motel had been a more expensive one, I would have rated it much lower for the inconveniences we faced. For under $70, though, we would return, and hope that the problems we faced this time wouldn’t happen again.

Clean - Fresh Towels - refrigerator supplied - Heat and air included - Bed was Comfortable with Fresh sheets & pillows . Breakfast included  > eggs & sausage Gravy With or with out Biskets  you choose or waffles - Cereal Coffee - milk - orange juice.  You Choose how much for how hungry you are. >>> THE STAFF is Great ** the price is Fair Do book it on line for cheaper rates & Guaranteed  price.  Central location of town & close to highway. & shopping man stores. Lots to do . Great town & a Great motel.  I stayed in Room 23 in September For 3 weeks. Tank you to the owners and Staff For making it a wonderful stay.

.....Just back from a very enjoyable back road cruze vacation in the 06 GT pony while celebrating our 57th anniversary. 
As we travel the back roads in pursuit of curiosities we always on the hunt for GOOD door parking motels and the West Plains Motel  is a very good one.
The all brick construction, door parking, great breakfast, spacious rooms with desk, fridge & MW and on the main drag with many eateries close by and in the center of the Ozarks makes this a good choice.  Fast Wi-Fi too..

Many old grist mills, springs, streams and scenic back roads to explore in the area.

I suggest you checkout nearby Sniders BBQ...Yummy..!

this was a very nice motel, would stay at again. very clean and the people were very friendly.  the area it was in was great and it was not that expensive.  restuarnts are near the motel. it is also pet friendly.

Perfect vintage stay 

It began in 1954 so there are some things that are a bit dated but the rooms are quite large and clean. The breakfast was surprisingly good, biscuits, sausage, gravy, eggs. They also had waffles and cereals, milk, juice and coffee available. All in all had a nice stay. 

Nice old motel

This motel was established in 1954, so the bathroom tile was dated.  But it was clean, convenient, and comfortable. Hot breakfast was good. I really like the rooms all having an outside entrance, so it was so convenient and fast to bring stuff in and out. No long walk down a hallway.

Are stay was very unsatisfying, the rooms are not properly cleaned there was hair in bed and in shower.There was hair in sink, the mirror had toothpast splashes on it.
Im not a happy customer at all. 
The owner called us lairs and said if we didnt like it go else were

Stayed here first night and came back stayed on last night. Very clean, comfortable, budget kind , dog friendly motel. The best of everything. People were the best. Thank you for a very memorable stay!

Great find.

My spouse and I stayed there in May 2019 for a wedding. The place was clean and charming. It was nothing fancy, well taken care of 50s style motel. We would be happy to stay there any time. One of the perks was being able to park in front of your door.
