Visited on August 23 2020. The place is a dump!! Huge hole in the bathroom wall. The shower head didn't work and the tub didn't plug. The pool wasn't operational and didn't look as if it had been in years! The vending machines weren't operational and  when I requested a couple of extra towels I was told no!

Passing through town

Visited the location in late January after a long day on the road.  As was my luck, I stepped out of my client's car and stepped right into a pile of dog poop!  The room, while not bad, is crying for attention.  The hardwood or laminate floor is aging poorly and needs replacement.  The floor also had a pronounced high point it the middle of the room, so maybe this is the time to do some serious renovating and pour a concrete floor pad and then put flooring material on top of it.  Quiet room and a good price, but put the money back into the facility!

Property needs attention!

We did not plan to stay in Wytheville area; however, a dense fog rolled in and made traveling on I-81 unsafe.  It was just a place to sleep and leave in the morning. Check-in was quick and the front desk person was friendly.  It's a budget hotel, so I wasn't expecting much but yet was surprised to see a frig and microwave in the room and a small table for the cheap $45 rate (plus taxes).  Don't expect much like shampoo or lotions that you're used to finding in the more mid-range hotels.  You'll find thin towels and soap that dries your skin.  The bed was good enough for an "emergency" stay over - you get what you pay for.  Would I stay there again? Sure, it was clean enough but not sparkling clean.  It looks old and worn out.  The gutters are broken and when it rains, the water just pours right over the doorway.  The nice things is that you can drive your car right up to your hotel door because all the rooms are on one level.  WiFi worked okay but didn't try to stream any movies so don't know how it would handle watching Netflix or something similar.

Good enough place for a short stay to rest from traveling I-81

First off, this is not a place of beauty. But....the heat worked very 
Well. The TV and remote worked. The bed was clean, soft, and comfortable
 I took a great shower and the water was hot. Theres a fridge and microwave in the room. I took my two little dogs. No charge. After tax 50 bucks. Just a good nights rest while travelling down the road. As I said cosmetically  it could use some help. But I have had much worse accommodations for a lot more money!

Everything was good

Check In: The person working the front desk was very efficient and quick. He had everything ready and we were in and out in 2 minutes for 2 rooms check in. That is how it is done. 

One floor drive up rooms. We stayed in Room 312 had only 2 small pillows, 2 small towels. our friend stayed in the room next to us and they had more pillows and towels. 

The Rooms: very spacious rooms, with very minimalist décor. 

Beds: the beds are very basic and firm. They are clean and comfortable – just need to have more pillows. The pillows were small and thin. There is a fridge in the room. No coffee Maker. 

The Air conditioning – while it did work technically, it was old and did not keep the room cool.  It really struggled to keep the room comfortable at all. 

Bathroom: needs updating for sure. It is not great, but it very basic and old. Thin rough towels.  Shower head is so old and basic that it barely gave water. The height was not tall enough for people 6’ tall (or 5’10). The drain is full of hair, and the bathroom sink plug is stuck down. 

Parking: There are plenty of parking spots as this is a drive-up motel. 

Wifi: the wifi is free and had adequate connectivity. No real issues with it.

Breakfast: There is NO breakfast here. 

Pet-Friendly: This hotel is pet-friendly – no limit on the number of pets per room, and there is no charge for the pets.

Adequate place to stay for a night

We arrived and found an ashtray in the room, the smoke detector disconnected, cigarette burns and in the bedding. People around us grilling outside and partying. Floors were dirty. The whole place looks like it needs torn down and rebuilt. Plus they told us pets were free and then charged us. Coffee is only available at certain times instead of 24/7 like other hotels.

Junk Dump

The good:  excellent water pressure in shower;  very effective air conditioner;  in-room microwave & refrigerator (with generous freezer space)

The bad:  hairs in sheets (gross 😩); no batteries in TV remote (unable to use TV); filthy;  bars of soap broken in pieces;  no area to put luggage (no luggage rack, dresser, etc); horrid mattresses;  floor creaks loudly;  room smelled of smoke; now I-fi; inadequate number of towels;  worth saying again - FILTHY.

I hate making a negative review because people are just trying to make a living but management needs to give some attention to this place.  We like cheap and don’t require much but this was too far off base.

No! No! No!  The First and Last.....

"You get what you pay for" is so true here. My husband likes a cheap price and we have stayed at many nice Motel 6 properties, but this one was pathetic. Only the bedding and towels appeared clean and well maintained. Everything else in room 304 needed major help. The main door must have been kicked in a few times and was loose and dirty with daylight showing through. Wood trim was very rough and broken. Bathroom baseboard had come away from the wall exposing glue, bugs and dirt. The whole thing was just shabby. Will not stay again.

Needs major refurb.

It was a cheap stay on our trip to myrtle beach. Was kinda run down but price was right for getting off the road after 5 hours of driving. It is convenient to restaurants and close to the interstate..

Stayed one night

The room was clean and safe.  The staff was friendly and I was able to check in after finishing my evening of work.  This was the 3rd time that I stayed at this location and the PRICE is the reason why I keep going back.  Very reasonable for business travelers.
