My and my girlfriend had a wonderful time here and with an exotic view! We connected fairly quickly with the hotel runners and of course the dog - 'Miau', who is such a beauty!

Just awesome!

The place was nice and our room was intimate, with wall-like sheets, and the staff were kind and helped us with the attractions.

It's comfortable.

At first, I thought it was a cafe's until I walked inside, there were billiards, outdoor seats and a bar with beer. The bar looks really cozy with candles. We could watch other people playing billiards while drinking and talking. I love the name of this bar.

Cozy atm

I stayed here for 2 nights and had a great experience. Clean facility, open areas and a calm atmosphere. I didn't feel pressed to do anything or make a move. Overall, I had a pleasant time. 

I went during the "winter" so it was cold everywhere inside and outside the hostel (16-20 degrees C/ 60-69 degrees F). The communal space, bedrooms and bathrooms are cold. It is tolerable if you have the proper clothing (sweater, jacket, scarf). I didn't have a problem. 

Bathrooms are communal (separate for men and women) and not enclosed from the outside world, which means that it's cold.The warm water works fine, just make sure to turn on the hot water switch and give it time for it to warm up. Brush your teeth or something in the mean time. The shower doors are saloon style and made out of aluminum and the hinges are powerful, so its like a game of life size Operation getting in and out of the shower. Bathrooms are clean and well kept. 

The bedrooms are nice. I stayed in the 6 person dorm. It is simple, clean and organized. I was worried about how cold it would be at night but the blanket cover they provide is very warm. It looks like a down cover, it isn't, but i feels like one. The mattress's are a foam material but not cheap feeling and the pillow is not large and puffy. Nor is it thin and abused... it's just right. I slept like a baby.

The staff are great. They do their own thing and feel like clientele until you need them. Then they are very helpful. Bar guy is cool, he runs a tight ship. 

I rented a motorbike that worked well. I paid 150k VND for the day and it did it's job. I'm sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere (100-120k VND) but its convenient and you feel secure getting it from them. 

Overall, I had a good stay. My only gripe is that the towel they provide is tiny. About the size of a like a large gym towel they provide at a gym chain in the States. Come prepared for the weather like you should and you'll have a good time here.

Cooler than the name of the place

This hostel's so good for budget, convinient and very central.
They have everything we need and their assistant is appriciated.
Maybe we'll try YOLO camping next time.

Good hostel for budget

YOLO hostel is obviously one of the best budget hostel I have ever stayed in Vietnam. With the rate of roundly $5 a night, YOLO provides exceptional customer service with an unique environment which cannot to be found in Dalat. In additional, breakfast (very basic with bread and jam, ...) and free beer voucher is also included in room rate. How great is that?

Last but not least, we would like to send our best regard to Miss Muoi, Miss Ngoc and other YOLO staffs who were extremely friendly and provided great help during our trip in Dalat few days ago. Thank you for those unforgettable memories, guys!

Best budget hostel in Dalat

The hostel looks pretty good from the outside, but it doesn't offer much for the price from the inside, you're lying on mattresses with other people, you have a toilet in the room but no shower, the ladies' showers are almost on the balcony, which was pretty cold.

The staff is very nice but they don't speak English well... Like all Vietnamese but in a hostel it's tiring! So it's all nice, well decorated but not functional at all; no sound insulation, bedroom windows that look up on the stairs and right next to your bed(everyone can see you, we already have little privacy in the bedroom but there's the punpon 😆) the showers are horrible; iron doorways, nothing to put your toiletries or your dry dresses down... You leave it outside! And you hear everything that goes on in the hostel in the morning 👍🏻!! If you're lucky they put you on the hostel one day!

Good but not fantastic

I stayed in this hostel for 2 nights. Nice location very close to the market and the lake. The structure is not bad even though the 8th room where I slept was very dark and narrow. We were 3 people and we struggled to move around, there's basically no luggage room. I'm comfortable in the bathroom, even though for the shower you have to use the common ones.

You only live once!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in this hostel which seemed fine at first. We arrived around 12:30 and we left our belongings in the dorm room where we first arrived. To our great surprise, when we returned to the hostel at noon, after taking a tour of the city, our belongings had been moved. We did not immediately complain at the reception waiting to see who were the people who had made their beds to touch our belongings. After our dinner, we returned around 10 o'clock. One of the staff members was in the bedroom. Our belongings disappeared again and the employee told us that we had chosen a good price to look for our belongings. So he left us a low bed, and the beds were not occupied. The girls said that they were not in the same room, and then we turned to the same room.
