I dont know so many people complained this hostel, but everything look very good, very cheap hostel, located in the city center few minutes walk to Hoan Kiem lake, 30 seconds to the Church.
Of course facilities quite old, but the price very cheap and staff very friendly. if you complain, please look others hotel, you have to pay much more expensive to get a better room.
You want to save money, and comfortable, and close to walking street, let visit green hostel,

Good hostel

The beds as in many hotels are more than tough... the ceilings and the walls have mold on the pipes and in the corners but otherwise the room is clean overall the wifi works fine but not incredible the staff is English speaking we don't have to test the meals and breakfast good hotel to fix.

Well situated and sufficient for backpack travel

My wife and I booked a bubble room and when we got to the hotel it was full. No excuses, nothing. We almost blamed ourselves for being there.

This is outrageous!

We got in at 6am from an overnight bus, and went to drop our bags off/see if a room was available. When we got there staff was sleeping in the lobby and when we knocked he looked at us, rolled over and went back to sleep. I get it's 6am so we sort of brushed it off. We went to find coffee and came back. The entire place was grossly dirty and reeked of smoke. The staff was super rude to us, told us check-in was at 2 and then made us crawl around his bed still on the floor to drop our bags off. We were very uninterested in staying there at this point, so we decided to call it quits and book another room. We stay in budget rooms all the time, and for the price/location you can find way way better in the area.

Horrible, Should Have Read the Reviews

Apart from the nice welcome, there's not much good in this hotel For the price (12€ the private room) we didn't expect a great performance, but even though it's not really clean, it's cardboard walls (and when I say that, the wall moves when you press on it, and you really feel like you're with the couple from the next room).

More than just

A windowless closet as a bedroom, average reception and let's not talk about breakfast: a piece of bread with a scrambled egg inside.

It's more than a joke!

When we got to the backpacker reception the person told us that there was no more room because of an organizational problem or I don't know what anymore... It felt like the technique was well-rounded but finally brief... She told us that there was a place in a hotel a few meters away. The horror started when we found ourselves in a slum. I felt like I was in a slum.

We've already spent the second night in this hostel. The double room is very spacious, the location of the hostel is really great - many windows, comfortable bed, with AC and ventilator. In addition, the room has a cupboard, a TV, two chairs and an assistant desk. The bathroom is perfectly adequate and there is also warm water for showering. The staff is very hardworking, speaks good English and is very friendly. The location of the hostel is also really great - in the center, about 7 minutes walk away from Hoan Kiem Lake. The best thing to do is to find a closet of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity. Not quite so positively: the bathroom on the third floor works: but there is no semi-detached bathroom on the third floor. There is also a staircase. There is also a community room in the middle of the hallway. There is a community room, so if someone has a community room, and then we have to check it out, and then we should check it out with the staff.

Definitely very good!

The receptionist was friendly, but since he seems to be one of the few people working at the hostel, he seemed a little overwhelmed at times. There was a problem with our room, but we got a bigger one without an extra charge. Breakfast not very special. The tour we booked over the hostel (1 day trip halong bay with kayaking $44) is not really recommended, but maybe it's also because I wasn't so impressed by it in general.

Price performance okay, but nothing for several nights

The room was not great and bathroom was a bit dirty. But especially our fellow dorm guests, who seemed to live there semi permanently, were quite special. The room smelled quite exotic (I mean we're from holland but we don't want to smell the grass everywhere..) The laundry that we had done came back nicely folded but smelling just the same with some extra spots of orange on it. Just go to another one, there are many hostels for around this price :)
