I stayed in the Duy Tan Apartments for one month organised through Hanoistay Real Estate although I see on hotel booking sites that apartments can also be rented by the night.

The two-bed apartment I rented (602) is huge. Very big living room with a small kitchen at one end and two large bedrooms one of which is en-suite. The apartment is well furnished and a great place for an extended stay. Wi-fi is generally very good with the odd blip.

The location is fantastic on one of Hanoi's best food streets, next door to Puku Pub and a couple of doors down from Ngon Villa both of which I recommend. The rest of the street is made up of mainly local food vendors selling a wide range of local food. It is a 15 minute walk along Hang Bong passing lots of art and craft shops to Hoan Kiem Lake.

The one downside is that the apartment block backs onto a railway line. Trains run in the evenings when they do use their horns and overnight when they generally don't. During the evening these can clearly be heard but they never woke me up in the month that I stayed.

Lovely two bed apartment in great area

It's a great experience to live in a very famous night food street. The house is located in the center of Hanoi (old quarter) where you can walk around easily and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. The house is well maintained, designed and generous in size. The owners, and the house keeper, are all great people and very friendly and kind.

Best location to stay in Hanoi

I along with my few colleagues been staying here for last 8 months. The rooms are quite spacious with all necessary equipment provided that require for day to day life. Staffs are very friendly and always ready to help even at mid night. The only con is that aircon in common room are quite old and hence is not cost effective. 

Feels like Home

The check in wasn't too swift, and we struggled with wifi initially.  
Nice and clean, it felt secure, Located next to some nice bars and restaurants, and close to major tourist attractions.
It would have got 5, but the level of service wasn't quite there.  
For the money we paid, it was great value.

Good location, huge apartment

Our apartment was spacious, with clean rooms and a large lounge/kitchen/diner, complete with fresh flowers.  Kitchen was well equipped with appliances: fridge freezer, washing machine (no instructions but a google search for the appliance number resolved that), microwave, hob and oven.  Some parts were starting to show some wear and tear, for example the washing machine was a little mouldy and the sofas were slightly marked in places, but not really that bad.  Good wifi signal.   One bathroom for both double rooms.  

The staff are friendly and helpful, albeit spoke little English.  On arrival only three sets of crockery and two towels had been provided for two double rooms (i.e. four people) but more was provided on request.  Cleaner came through every day and cleaned kitchen and made up beds. 

Good location with food and bars outside and easy walking distance to tourist attractions around old quarter.   There is a single track railway line outside the rear facing bedroom windows, but with windows closed it didn't bother us.
