Room was dated and could be cleaner

The beds were hard and the linen stained

We were on the 2 nd floor and was loud music coming from the street earlier in the night ... and expect a rooster crowing at 4.30 am 

As expected for the price 

This is a low budget hotel, so I knew not to expect a great deal, but for it's location and it's pricing you might want to consider it if on a limited budget.

Firstly, the location: The hotel is in between Ben Than Market and Park 23/9 with no shortage of shops and food stalls around, and most attractions are easily walkable even if you are only moderately fit.  It's also close to the convergence of two busy roads, so be ready for some traffic noise.

Reception: Small and simple, check in is very straightforward.

Room access: A steep, dark, very narrow staircase, or small rickety lift, neither of which is great if you have a large bag or case.

Room security: No the best, door access is by a  standard metal key, there is no safe in the rooms, and very little storage, although there is a small fridge / mini bar.

Facilities: None really, no breakfast available, telephone in the room only allows you to dial within the hotel or locally (no international calls possible, even from reception)!

Air conditioning is pretty good and surprisingly quiet.

TV: Dozens of channels,all of them so fuzzy as to make them unwatchable.

Bathroom:  Dated, tired and not that well sealed. The shower has very good temperature and pressure control, although the toilet flushes quite weakly and is prone to blocking easily.

Room: Basic, but at least with a window (many budget hotels  in this part of Asia have rooms with no windows, or sometimes an "artificial" one, usually a large photograph with curtains).  Decor again very basic, good size bed, very small bedside table, tiny circular snack table with two stools, and a small tea/coffee  making table with a mirror above it.
Plenty of electrical sockets, some of which work.

Annoyingly, no bedside light, or light-switch to turn off the lights once in bed.

Housekeeping: Minimal - bathroom consumables replaced, complimentary water replaced, and bed tidied, that's about it. Windows and frames haven't been cleaned in goodness know's how long, the same goes for the wardrobe top - I went to put my bag up there but soon changed my mind!

In short, if you want somewhere cheap, close to the city centre to have a shower and a sleep, then this will get you through.
I am pretty much a somewhere to sleep and a decent shower person, but I do prefer a hotel to be at least clean, and have a safe.

In a country like Vietnam, going out to find a good cheap breakfast is never a problem.

Stay here in future? Very unlikely.

Location wise is very good. Infront of malaysia street just cross road.
Everthing was good except to low water pressure to 7th floor. We are not be able to have good shower. Maintenance unable to fix the tab. Pillow was too soft and bed was so hard. 

Not all staff can communicate in english.
Comunication Brokedown. 

Wifi speed is good the most important when u stay to any hotel.

這酒店的別名是 RedDoorz Plus @ Ben Thanh Market 4。它明明就沒有房間，卻仍然接受預訂，最後送了我們去了偏僻的酒店，新酒店那裡有很多老鼠。我與前枱的另一位客人也有一樣的遭遇。明顯他們是慣犯。小心呀
The cat hotel is the partner hotel of RedDoorz Plus. They have another name called “RedDoorz Plus @ Ben Thanh Market 4”. I booked a room through Expedia. Unfortunately it is overbooked and they send me to a very cheap hotel. I found that not only me suffered. There is another guest who is also forced to sent to another hotel. Obviously they are always skilled to do such betrayal behaviour. Beware!!!!!

Stayed here for a week or so, had no reason to leave. Staff speak well english and helped us arrange good  tours. The room was clean and bug free, tv had english movies, staff very friendly and they are happy to secure your laptop at front desk 24 hour reception, the price is very very fair and the staff amazing

Greet place to stay

The hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. It is strategically located, close to the ben thanh market, lots of halal food around. Good service, and friendly.
Clean rooms, comfortable mattresses, quiet rooms.

Explor saigon

Stayed here for a few nights and is very handy to get around, also uber is cheap in this city. Hotel is small but always clean. We stayed at the top floor which was a little noisy from the air con machines outside but this didn't bother us much. Fridge in room. Elevator one of the smallest I've seen and didn't always seem to work! Staff have limited English but very pleasant.

Great location, small and clean hotel

This hotel located nearby Ben Thanh market & easy to get halal food.
The room was clean but the elevator was really small. The price is affordable if you plan on spending a lot of time out and coming back for rest. Don't forget to try 'Kopi Ais' nearby the market.

Good location

This hotel is very near to Ben Thanh Market and Malaysian street. The room was not so spacious but comfortable. They gave me a family room at Level 7 which is facing Ben Thanh Market. Hotel lift is small and it only can fit 2-3 person. The only problem with this hotel during my stay was the aircond didn't functioning well. It was so hot during the day and we can't sleep well at night. I hope the management could do something to repair the aircond.

Although I had booked a room here on arrival I was transferred to another hotel of the same company: I ended up in an acceptable room but without windows. The next day I was transferred to another room this time with a window (which faced the wall) and with serious damage from broken pipes.
