Needed a room for one night and it did it's job. The people were very nice and the room was clean and adequate size just the basics no coffee or tea but had a mini fridge and tooth  brush complimentary 

Good enough 

$18 for a night, and $500 missing from my room, manageress was very pleasant about the whole thing, I'll say no more. When I returned to HCMC 2 days later I stayed at the 4/5 star hotel around the corner and for $65 got something that James Bond would be familiar with.

You get what you pay for

We stayed at the hotel for two days in November 2015 to continue our flight to Kuala Lumpur and then to Singapore. But the couple had a bag cut off near the shopping center with a wallet, tablet, phone, etc., and the most unpleasant thing was the passports. The frustration and despair were overwhelming. They told the staff at the hotel, asked for help. They treated everything very carefully and understandingly. Together with the female staff at the hotel, we started looking for documents. And the result: we found the passport, which was returned to us.

Not the cleanest one, not the worst one either. I will say it ok for a night or a part of the night. In fact, as our flight was scheduled in the middle of the night, we didn't want to pay another night in the hotel we stayed in HCMC. We decided to take a "cheap" option to be close to the airport (5 minutes taxi ride) and to be able to rest few hours. We booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms. It was written on the internet apartment for 4 people. When we arrived, we had a room with a queen size bed and another one with a single bed. We were 4... so very cool! It looks it is an old building with very high ceiling. A lot of restaurants down the street and even a massage place (not a parlour).  The internet was fast.

Ok if you have a night flight

Was not neat, but not clean.  We refused to use the spa bath, opted for shower instead.  Front desk is not manned, but a security guard who couldn't speak English would contact the lady who could and she would come down to assist, or give advice over the phone.  Close to many eateries and extremely close to the airport.  Don't expect a good night sleep.  The traffic and the sounds of horns continued throughout the night.  This apartment is located on an extremely busy, main road that never seems to sleep.  The light was the street landscape lit up our room, despite the curtains.  There is also 2 flights of stairs you have to lug your baggage up before getting to the elevator.  Beds are very hard, but typical of this region.  If you want to sleep, this might not be a great option.

One night maybe

The hotel is located near the airport, if there is not much luggage, it takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the hotel. The rooms are scary, there is a kitchen, but there is no dishes and the appearance of being so overwhelmed that you don't want to use it. It seems like a cockroach is about to run, but there were no uninvited guests. But there is a large TV with many channels and Internet. The price is the same as the room. There are many cafes nearby, as well as a small outlet.

Staying at the airport

It's not easy to assess this hotel: sometimes it seemed extremely disorganised, sometimes it was OK. Our reservation was cancelled before we arrived, then reconfirmed. Upon arrival we didn't get the apartment we booked, then after one hour of shouting we mysteriously did. The apartment in the end was not bad, even if not too clean (cockroaches!). Location is good for the airport, and there are restaurants and shops nearby. Half an hour by cab from downtown.
A confusing place, it's good for one night, but probably I wouldn't stay again.

Hard to evaluate, too many pros and cons

We chose a hotel to stay one night near the airport (we decided to get there by bus, according to the map recommendations). As a result, the bus runs goddamn once every 30-40 minutes, we struggled on foot. We searched for thirty minutes, because it was evening, the sidewalks were packed with parked mopeds, between which you walk with a suitcase and get into a map every three minutes. So it's better to take a taxi right away to get there :) The apartments themselves were surprised by the excellent condition, good repairs and high ceilings.
